Dark Blue Floral Ruffle Dress

Hey everyone and happy Sunday! I hope you're having an amazing weekend. My weekend has been pretty awesome. I actually got to relax on Friday which is rare and yesterday I spent the day with my sweetie. In a few hours I'll be heading back to work but it'll be a short week for me since I'm off Thursday night for the early premiere of Suicide Squad. I'm so excited to see it!!! I wish it was already Thursday but in the meantime I have an amazing dress to share with you that is such a great summer choice for everyone and I'm sure you will love it as much as I do.

The Dress
I think I'm going to start calling this summer the summer of dresses since I've become somewhat obsessed with them and wear them as often as possible. I promise I do have other clothes but there's just something about wearing a cute summer dress that makes me feel super feminine and beautiful. The dress I picked out for today's post is no exception. I fell in love with this dress the minute I tried it on at Buckle. It was literally the only dress I tried on that day because I was bound and determined to buy something else but that decision flew right out the window as soon as I saw my reflection in the mirror. I love the color of this dress and the floral design is super feminine and so pretty. The ruffle at the bottom only adds to the awesomeness of this dress and the straps make it the perfect dress for summer. It also has little pleats down the bodice which I think adds texture and beauty to an already gorgeous dress. It's a little pricey at just under $60 but it's O'Neil which is always a bit more expensive than other brands. It's totally worth the money I assure you ;) I've linked this beauty below for you and a similar one that isn't so pricey. So, how did I end up styling this dress?

My Style
I wanted to feel beautiful and ultra feminine when I wore this dress out with my sweetie so I decided to wear my new cognac heels from Shoe Dazzle that I just got in the mail last week. At less than $40 these heels are a great buy and I love the retro feel they have to them. It took a minute to get used to them since this day was the first time I wore them but eventually my feet adjusted and I was walking tall :) If you don't like wearing heels or you just want to go for a more casual look you can wear a cute pair of sandals instead. If you like the dressy look but need a pair of shoes with a bit more stability then a nice pair of wedges would be the way to go.To recreate my look I've linked these shoes and a similar pair below for you as well as the different options I mentioned.

Isn't this dress absolutely gorgeous? How would you style it differently? Heels, sandals, or wedges? Which would you choose? I'd love to hear from you so leave me a comment and let me know what you think. I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend and happy shopping!

Wish Review - The Black Studded Heels

Happy Friday everyone!!! I thought this week was going to last forever but thank God the weekend is finally here. I'm so ready for some relaxation and down time with my sweetie. I had plans with a friend tonight for dinner and a movie but unfortunately she had to cancel so now I think I'm going to catch up on some much needed sleep before hanging out with my sweetie tomorrow. So, what are your weekend plans? If you're planning on doing some online shopping then I have found the cutest pair of shoes that would be a great addition to your wardrobe.

The Shoes
I saw these beauties while scrolling through the Wish app on my phone and I knew instantly I had to have them. They look so much like the popular Valentino rockstud collection but without the huge price tag. These amazing heels cost less than $30 which makes them a super steal! I was a little worried when I first ordered them because sometimes the stuff I order from Wish doesn't fit quite right but these shoes fit perfectly and looked absolutely amazing on me :) The quality of the shoe isn't as good as the name brands of course but for the price I paid I can't complain. I would definitely recommend these beauties to anyone looking for a super deal! I've linked these shoes and a similar pair below so you too can sang a pair. So, how did I style these amazing shoes?

My Style
I love how dressy and sleek these heels are so I wanted to stick with the dressy theme and wear something super sexy ;) I love wearing outfits that can be worn both to the office and for a night out on the town so I chose a dress that I've had in my closet for a couple of years now. I got this dress on one of my many trips to Ross and it has quickly become my go to dress for all dressy occasions. I've always loved the peplum look (even though it's not as popular as it once was) so I was excited when I saw this beauty hiding among the racks. It is super comfortable and stretchy which is a big plus for me and the floral pattern adds that wonderful touch of femininity that I love so much :) Instead of a dress you could wear a cute skirt suit or even a nice pair of skinny jeans with an awesome blouse. Since I got this dress so long ago it's no longer available but I've linked a couple of similar items for you to check out below.

Do you have the Wish app yet? If not be sure to go to your phone's playstore and download it today. Aren't these shoes beautiful? How would you style them differently? Dress or skinny jeans? Which one would you choose? I'd love to hear your thoughts and opinions so leave me a comment and let me know what you think. I hope you have an amazing weekend and happy shopping ;)

Tigress' Top 10 Picks Of The Week

Hey everyone and happy Thursday! It's my last night of work for the week and I'm super excited to get to the awesome weekend I have ahead. Have you made plans for the weekend yet? Is there a shopping trip in your future? If so you're in luck because I have found some amazing items at a great store that I think you'll love. I've decided to modify my normal Thursday post just bit and make it a top 10 post :) Ten is such a nice round number and it's so hard to narrow the choices any lower than that. So, welcome to the first official top 10 picks of the week post!!! WOOHOO So, where did I find my picks this week?

Buckle
I absolutely love Buckle!! I used to shop here all the time but recently I've been branching out and discovering new places so I haven't been able to shop here as much. One thing I love about this store is the quality of their clothing. Their stuff is top notch albeit a little pricey but well worth it when you see just how well made their stuff really is. The staff is warm and super helpful (the sales girl kept bringing me new stuff to try on that she thought I'd like) which is a big plus with me. The dressing rooms are very spacious and well lit and the overall vibe of the whole store is pretty laid back. They have a loyalty program which is pretty awesome. I ended up having enough points to get thirteen bucks off my total...SCORE! So which items made this week's top 10?

Top 10 Picks
There were so many great items to choose from and it was so hard to pick just 10 but after much deliberation...and help from my mom...I chose the following items:

#1-Coral lace detail shirt
I love the color and the lace detail of this shirt. I knew for sure I was going to end up with this one, but it wasn't my favorite by far so it went back to the rack. It did look great on me and was super comfortable but I could only choose one thing :(

#2-Mixed print tank with navy blue lace trim
This is one of the shirts my mom picked out for me. It was so cute on the hanger but not so much on me so it too went back to the rack.

#3-Cream colored floral tank
I was so in love with this tank the moment I saw it but it hung weird on my frame so I sent it back. Lovely tank though.

#4-Mutli colored embroidered tank
Yet another of my mom's choices. My mom has pretty good taste huh?! LOL I thought this tank was really pretty but it hung too low on the sides so I decided not to get it.

#5-Blue soft fringe tank
My mom actually picked this one as well because the fringe reminded her of the 1970s and she wanted me to try it on. It fit really well and I love the style but I don't have anything to style this shirt with so I put it back for now ;)

#6-Burnt orange tank
I love orange of any shade so this beauty caught my eye almost immediately but the back was way too low for my taste. Maybe I need to invest in one of those mutli way bras..

#7-Magenta cross shirt
I picked this one out because I love the color and the cross on the front adds some spice to an otherwise boring item. This shirt was my second choice and I came really close to buying my top two instead of only one...darn budgets :/

#8-Pink angel shirt
I love the color pink so I really wanted this shirt to be "the one" but the sleeves kept falling down and the fit was a little off so reluctantly I put it back :( It's still an awesome shirt though!

#9-Yellow striped lace up shirt
This shirt reminded me of something straight out of the 1970s so of course I had to try it on. The fit was perfect but the color was a little weird on me so this one went back to the rack with all the others.

#10-Navy blue floral camisole dress
I know the picture makes this dress look black but it's actually navy blue. I LOVE this dress. I promised myself when I went shopping that I wouldn't buy anymore dresses for a while but as soon as I tried this one on I knew I had to have it. I'll be featuring this dress on an upcoming blog post so be sure to check it out.

Aren't these items pretty awesome? Which one was your favorite? How would you style it? I'd love to hear your thoughts and opinions so leave me a comment and let me know what you think. I hope you have an awesome Thursday and happy shopping :)

Red Floral Shirt

Happy hump day everyone!! It's Wednesday and that means this week is halfway over. Aren't you super excited?! I know I sure am. I already made plans for the weekend...dinner and a movie Friday night with a friend then a shopping date with my sweetie on Saturday. Hopefully the next couple of days go by really fast so I can get to all the fun stuff ;) Have you made plans for the weekend yet? If you're planning on doing any shopping I have found the cutest red shirt just for you.

The Shirt
I saw this shirt at Charming Charlie a couple of weekends ago and I fell in love with it almost immediately. I say almost because I didn't know how it was going to look on me and I wanted to try it on before deciding if it was a good choice or not. I love the color red! I think red looks good on just about anyone and it's a great color for every season of the year. Not only is this shirt an awesome color but the underlay is a beautiful white and red floral pattern which is shown off through a slit down the back. I was so happy this shirt fit me as great as it did. I love it and I think it may become one of my new go to items that I keep in heavy rotation. You can snag one of these beauties for yourself for less than $20. I linked this item below just in case you want to do just that ;) So how did I decide to style this awesome shirt?
Shirt

My Style
i wanted this outfit to be summery and comfy so I decided to pair it with a white pair of shorts that I found at Burke's Outlet a few months back and my awesome pair of red sandals that I got from L'Patricia about a year or two ago. The white shorts go great with the red shirt because the underlay is white and because in general the color red looks great paired with white anyway. These shorts are extremely comfy and they have become a big part of my wardrobe this summer. These red sandals might very well be my favorite part of this entire outfit. They are cute, comfy, and a great color :) If you want to dress up the shirt a bit more you can always wear some white jeans with red heels or white capris with red wedges. Hmmmm...maybe next time I'll try one of these alternative style ideas! I've linked some similar items below if you'd like to recreate my look.

Sandals

Isn't this shirt super adorable? What's your favorite color to wear year round? Sandals, heels, or wedges? How would you style this shirt differently? I'd love to hear your thoughts and opinions so leave me a comment and let me know what you think. I hope you enjoy the rest of your hump day and happy shopping!

Must Have Shoes Of The Week

Hey everyone and happy Monday! It's the first day of the new work week and I know most of you are wishing it was the weekend again but only five more days and it will be here ;) How as your weekend? Did you do anything fun? I got to see my bff for dinner and a movie and I got to go shopping with my mom. So, my weekend was super fun. If you're having a case of the Monday blues I have found an awesome pair of shoes that should cheer you right up, especially if you're a shoe lover like me :)

The Shoes
Block heels were THE shoe of the spring and summer seasons. Every fashion blogger I follow was featuring a pair and everywhere I went women were wearing these beauties. I realized I don't own a pair and that makes me sad :( but that just means I get to go shoe shopping again really soon. HAHA I was searching online and I came across the cutest pair of nude open toe block heeled booties. These shoes are perfect for summer and will make a great transition to the fall season. I love buying neutral colors because of how versatile they are and these shoes will match numerous outfits so this is a great buy! I've linked the shoes below for you along with a similar pair so you can have a choice of which ones you like better. So, how would I style these cuties?

My Style
I think these particular shoes would be perfect with a cute dress or skirt suit so I chose one of each as an example of how I'd style them. This dress is such a great summer piece. I love the color, the print, and the lace up neckline. Normally I would wear a cute pair of sandals with a dress like this but I think these shoes would look quite nice with this dress and it would make it more of a dressy outfit than a casual one. This skirt suit is my perfect choice of how I would style these shoes! I love the knee length floral skirt with the nude cropped top. This is such a wonderful feminine outfit and would be great for spring and fall as well. I threw in a cute nude bag to match and you have two great outfit ideas for one awesome pair of shoes. I linked these examples below and similar items for you to check out ;)

Black Tie Dye Shirt Dress

Happy Sunday everyone!! I hope you're having an amazing weekend. In a few hours I'll be heading back to work so my weekend is officially over but I had a super great time and I can't wait until next weekend gets here...only 5 more days LOL. Did you get a chance to check out Thursday's post? If so then you should recognize the dress I'm wearing. If not, that's ok. I'll be sure to fill you in on all the awesome details anyway :)

The Dress
I thought this dress was so cute the first time I saw it at Styles For Less but I wasn't sure how it would look on me or how I would style it. My sweetie was shopping with me that day and convinced me to give it a shot since I own nothing like it and I'm always wanting to try new things with my wardrobe. The material is very stretchy and it hugged my body like a glove which I'm not usually comfortable with but I felt super sexy in it and sometimes ladies that's exactly how we need to feel. I don't own anything in tie dye so this was a big plus for me and I'm in love with the lace up look right now so the neckline was the deciding factor. I bought this dress with still no idea of how I wanted to style it but it was less than $20 so I figured I'd eventually come up with something. I've linked both this dress and a similar one below for you ;) So, how did I end up styling this cutie?

My Style
I toyed with the idea of making this a casual outfit and wearing a black pair of converse sneakers and I also thought about going for the rebel look and wearing combat boots. Both ideas would've worked just fine but I remembered how the dress made me feel when I first tried it on and I decided to go for the sexy dressy look. I had just ordered a pair of sexy black heels from JustFab and I thought they might work so I tried them on together....WOW!!! SCORE! I felt super hot in this outfit and my sweetie couldn't keep his eyes off me so I knew I had found a winning combination. The only downside is the shoes hurt my feet pretty bad. Turns out I have to have heels with a front platform so I'll be keeping these babies in the back of the closet for special dinners when I won't be doing a lot of walking. HAHA. If you'd like to recreate my style or one of the others I mentioned I've left some links to some awesome shoes for you below.

Wish Review - The Black And White Polka Dot Dress

Happy Friday everyone!! Aren't you glad this week is finally over? I know I sure am. In a few short hours I'll be hanging out with my bff and I can't wait. Then tomorrow it's off to the mall with my other bff, my mom. Fun stuff!! Before I get to that I wanted to share with you an awesome dress I found on my favorite shopping app - Wish :)

The Dress
This dress caught my attention almost immediately. I love polka dots and cute summery dresses so this dress called out to me as I was doing my daily scroll through my Wish app. At first I thought it was a skirt suit because the bottom is solid black and the top is white with black polka dots but I was thrilled when I noticed it was actually a dress that was separated with a belt. The waist of the dress is super stretchy which I love because it allows for a bit of breathing room and the little tie in the back only adds to the beauty of this dress. I guess my only complaints would be the material is a little thin and the dress is super short but it was only $5 so I can't complain too much ;) For my first time readers, Wish is a website which sells just about anything at really low prices and they have an app that works with your phone which is super addicting. I've linked this dress and a similar one below for you. So how did I end up styling this beauty?

My Style
I wanted to be super dressy with a slight retro feel so I decided to pair this dress with my adorable black and white 1940s inspired heels I purchased from Payless several months back. I love these shoes so much! Not only are they super cute but they are extremely comfortable. I could wear these shoes literally anywhere and I wouldn't have to worry about my feet giving out toward the end of the day. When you purchase this dress from Wish it also comes with a cute brown belt. I was going to wear the belt with it but then I realized that I didn't like the way it looked with the dress so I used a pretty butterfly stretchy belt that I've had forever. I love how it tied the whole look together and gave it a super feminine feel. If you don't like wearing heels you can wear a cute pair of ballet flats or lace up flats instead. These exact shoes were so popular they sold out fairly quickly but I've linked some similar items for you to check out below.

Tigress' Picks Of The Week

Hey everyone and Happy Thursday!! I'm so glad it's my last night of work for the week. I have some fun stuff planned for this weekend so I'm ready to get this night over with and get to it. Do you have any plans for this weekend yet? Tomorrow is dinner and a movie with my bff then Saturday I'm shopping with my mom for some more exciting deals to share with you ;) Speaking of shopping, I found some great deals and a super awesome store on my last shopping trip and I'm so excited to share them with you now. So, what's the store??

Styles For Less
I saw this store for the first time a couple of years ago while shopping at Ross since it's right next door. I had never heard of it before so of course I had to check it out. Super cute clothes at affordable prices...SCORE! This time I was familiar with the store a little better and I was on the hunt for some cute summer deals. I was not disappointed! There were so many cute clothes that I had a hard time choosing just a few but in the end I went to the dressing room with 9 items. I do have to complain about the dressing room just a bit. The walls are painted black so the lighting is a little dark. I like a dressing room that's well lit so I can make sure what I'm buying looks amazing on me ;) So what items did I pick for you?? Note: this store sells Juniors sizes so make sure you go up a size if you're used to buying women's clothing.

My Picks
There are so many great things to choose from at Styles For Less and it was really hard to narrow it down to only a small number of picks but the following items are the ones that stuck out the most to me...

Anti negativity shirt
I love the message on this shirt and for this alone I wanted it. The material is super soft and I love the peep shoulder look. It looked great on me too!

Burgundy printed peasant top
This shirt is beautiful. I love the color and the print and it fit me perfectly.

Blue and white cropped tank
This shirt is super cute and trendy. I love the embroidery and the lace detail but it didn't look all that great on me :(

White and burgundy lace up printed tank
This shirt is super cute and I wanted it but I think I grabbed the wrong size because it was a little big. But it's a great print and color and would be a good buy.

Paris Blues Jeans
I love love love these jeans!!! They are designed to make your behind look amazing and they really do work. The stitching on the waist of this particular pair was scratching my skin so I'll have to try a different pair.

Black and white harem jumpsuit
I picked this up thinking it was a dress but the entire bottom was stitched up except for two leg holes. What the heck is this? Apparently it's called a harem jumpsuit but it kinda reminded me of parachute pants. HAHA This exact one isn't available online so I linked a purple one instead.

Floral One Piece
This floral jumpsuit was beautiful on the hanger but not so hot on me. But it may have to do with the fact I'm not very tall. There should really be a store that caters just to people 5'5" and under.

Blue floral romper
This romper is gorgeous! The one I took into the dressing room with me was too big but I didn't bother sending for a smaller size because the back is so low and I don't like wearing stuff like this but if you love low back rompers this is the one for you ;)

Tie dye lace up shirt dress
This dress is too freaking cute!!! I love the coloring and the lace up detail. I didn't realize it was a dress at first but when I did it made it even more cute. I love shirt dresses and I don't own many so I had to have this one for sure ;)

After trying everything on I decided to get the tie dye lace up shirt dress. I got it partly because it's so cute and I have nothing else like it but mostly I got it because my sweetie was shopping with me that day and talked me into it. He said it looked the hottest...LOL Men! I'll be featuring this cutie on a future blog post so be looking for it ;) Which of my picks was your favorite? How would you style it? I'd love to hear your thoughts and opinions so leave me a comment and let me know what you think. I hope you enjoy the rest of your Thursday and happy shopping!
