Black Tie Dye Shirt Dress

Happy Sunday everyone!! I hope you're having an amazing weekend. In a few hours I'll be heading back to work so my weekend is officially over but I had a super great time and I can't wait until next weekend gets here...only 5 more days LOL. Did you get a chance to check out Thursday's post? If so then you should recognize the dress I'm wearing. If not, that's ok. I'll be sure to fill you in on all the awesome details anyway :)

The Dress
I thought this dress was so cute the first time I saw it at Styles For Less but I wasn't sure how it would look on me or how I would style it. My sweetie was shopping with me that day and convinced me to give it a shot since I own nothing like it and I'm always wanting to try new things with my wardrobe. The material is very stretchy and it hugged my body like a glove which I'm not usually comfortable with but I felt super sexy in it and sometimes ladies that's exactly how we need to feel. I don't own anything in tie dye so this was a big plus for me and I'm in love with the lace up look right now so the neckline was the deciding factor. I bought this dress with still no idea of how I wanted to style it but it was less than $20 so I figured I'd eventually come up with something. I've linked both this dress and a similar one below for you ;) So, how did I end up styling this cutie?

My Style
I toyed with the idea of making this a casual outfit and wearing a black pair of converse sneakers and I also thought about going for the rebel look and wearing combat boots. Both ideas would've worked just fine but I remembered how the dress made me feel when I first tried it on and I decided to go for the sexy dressy look. I had just ordered a pair of sexy black heels from JustFab and I thought they might work so I tried them on together....WOW!!! SCORE! I felt super hot in this outfit and my sweetie couldn't keep his eyes off me so I knew I had found a winning combination. The only downside is the shoes hurt my feet pretty bad. Turns out I have to have heels with a front platform so I'll be keeping these babies in the back of the closet for special dinners when I won't be doing a lot of walking. HAHA. If you'd like to recreate my style or one of the others I mentioned I've left some links to some awesome shoes for you below.

Isn't this dress awesome? Is it something you would wear? How would you style it differently? Heels, boots, or sneakers? Which would you choose? I'd love to hear your thoughts and opinions so leave me a comment and let me know what you think. I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend and happy shopping!

Goodbye for now...Fashionable Tigress

  7. This dress is so cute! And those heels! I would keep this dress as a go to in your closet! It's one that can be very functional. It's one that can be worn more casual with flats, or dressed up with heels, like you've done! I can also see it worn with over the knee boots in the fall!
