Lace Up Plaid Top

Happy hump day!! I can't believe it's already Wednesday. This week has really flown by which is awesome because I can't wait until Friday so I can get my nails done and take my mom shopping. I know I said I was getting my nails done last Friday but I actually ran out of time. I always have so much to do and there never seems to be enough time to get everything done. Hopefully I'll make it this weekend because my poor nails are looking rough. LOL I've also started working out again and my whole body is SORE! There are muscles hurting that I didn't know I had. HAHA But, if it will help me stay fit and healthy then I'll do it! Wish me luck :) To celebrate this wonderful hump day I have the cutest top I want to share with you. I found this amazing top for less than $15 and it is perfect for this fall season. So where did I find this cutie and where can you snag one as well?

The Top

I found this super cute top during a recent shopping trip to Walmart and I knew I was buying it the second I tried it on. I LOVE plaid especially during the fall and winter seasons so I knew this top was a must have for me. Throw in the fact that it laces up the front and I found one of the best tops ever!! The colors in this plaid top are really pretty and will be perfect for your fall wardrobe. The fit is a little snug so be sure to go one size up. Unfortunately I can't find this top on Walmart's website. I don't know if it's an in store only product or if they just sold out really fast, but it isn't anywhere to be found. You can always go cruise the store like I did and maybe you'll get lucky or you can shop a similar product HERE and another one HERE. So how did I style this cutie and how can you change it up to fit your style? 

My Style

When I bought this top I figured I'd wear it with a cute pair of Converse sneakers or some black moto boots, but I decided to pair it with my new fringe ankle boots (also from Walmart) to give the whole outfit a dressier vibe. Not to mention these boots are EVERYTHING this season! Top it off with my favorite distressed jean leggings from Hollister and I was one happy stylish lady :) I wore this amazing outfit to go shopping and have lunch with a good friend of mine and I'm happy to say I was super comfy the whole time. If there's one thing I love to be in the fall it's comfortable. If you're not into the ankle boots then you can always wear the aforementioned sneakers or moto boots. You can also throw on a cute scarf if you don't mind covering up the lace up part of the top. I think i might throw on a nice blue jean jacket the next time I wear this top as long as the weather is cool.

Must Have Monday

Hey everyone and happy Monday! I know you just wanted one more day of the weekend, but unfortunately it's Monday and time to head back to work. But don't worry, Friday will be here again before you know it. Have you entered my giveaway yet? So, what made the must have Monday list this week?

Must Haves

It's really easy for me to come up with this list every week because I'm always finding the cutest things to share with you and this week is no different. I once again cruised my Polyvore app to see if there were any new items that have been added and of course there have. Some of them were just OK but the following five items are way too adorable not to share. I've linked them all HERE for you so finding them will be super easy :)

I know a few of these items are a little expensive but there are always inexpensive options. Tan ankle boots are everything right now. Last Friday I went out with a friend for some shopping and literally everywhere I looked there was a girl wearing ankle boots and cuffed jeans. It was kinda crazy to be honest but pretty cool at the same time. I've linked a less expensive pair HERE. Wool hats are very popular for this fall season. Personally I doubt I get one because I'm not a big fan of wearing hats, but these are super cute and would help to add a little extra something to your outfit. I've linked a nice one with a lower price tag HERE. I love getting my nails done and it seems that Burgundy has become the color of the season. So, getting your nails painted burgundy is a great way to get into the spirit of fall. This phone case describes my life right now. I've been so exhausted lately because I have so many things to get done and there's not enough time in the day. So, I may need to snag one of these cuties myself. Last but certainly not least is the burgundy purse. The drawstring tie and tassel front make this purse really adorable and of course the color makes it perfect for fall. I've linked one that's a little more affordable HERE. If I had to choose one favorite item from this post then I'd have to go with the ankle boots. Black Floral Babydoll Top

Happy Sunday everyone!! How is your weekend going so far? I got to spend some time with a few good friends this weekend and I had so much fun, but now it's time for me to head back to work. The Top

I found this beautiful top while shopping at Target last weekend and I knew immediately that I had to have it. I love wearing floral on any color background, but there's just something about floral on black that makes the vibrant colors of the floral pattern stand out. This is a great top for fall since the sleeves are long and the material is a little thicker. There's also a little stretch to it which makes it extremely comfortable to wear. I love the fact it's a V neck as well because I can wear my super cute owl necklace my BF got me for our anniversary :) I love the babydoll style because it gives the whole outfit a bit of a retro vibe and it camouflages any unwanted muffin tops. You know what I mean ladies!! This top is definitely a must have item for fall and at less than $20 (on sale right now for $15.99) it's a great buy! So how did I style it and how can you style it differently?

My Style

I wanted to look dressy casual when I wore this gorgeous top so I decided to pair it with my awesome skinny jeans from Abercrombie and Fitch. I LOVE these jeans so much. They have the perfect amount of stretch without being overly stretchy and fit my hips perfectly (thanks mom for the child bearing hips). To finish off the outfit I wore my favorite pair of black lace up pointed toe flats that I find myself wearing with almost everything. These I found at Burke's Outlet but there are so many stores that sell these so you shouldn't have a problem finding a pair. I'll link a pair for you below. You could wear a cute pair of wedge boots instead or some ankle boots. I think some nice clogs would look good as well. I almost wore my cute black ankle boots but switched to these at the last minute. Also, for those cooler nights I think a nice scarf in black or pink would look super amazing!

I don't really know a lot about makeup so I won't pretend to and go on and on about how awesome this lipstick is. All I know is it's from Cover Girl and Katy Perry...two of my favorites. I chose this and some nail polish in black because it's Halloween duh! LOL This will be a great finishing touch to this years costume!

11-Throw Blanket

There's nothing I love more than curling up in front of the TV after a long night with my throw blanket and slippers. While I couldn't get slippers because there are too many different sizes, I did get this adorable throw blanket. This actually represents the Day Of The Dead and not so much Halloween but it was simply too cute not to include in this giveaway and it's sooooo soft!! 

12-Coffee Mug

While you're relaxing on the couch with your throw blanket and socks you can use this awesome mug for some hot chocolate or coffee. I love the saying on the front because it totally represents me. LOL.

Top 10 Picks Of The Week

Hey everyone and happy Thursday!! I hope you're having an awesome week. Tonight is my last night of work for this week and I couldn't be more ready for the weekend. I have a hair appointment tomorrow and I'm seriously thinking of trying something a little different but I'll talk with my wonderful stylist first and see what she thinks. No one else has touched my hair since 2013 so I trust her to make the right decision :) I know it's going to turn out awesome! So, how are you enjoying this awesome fall weather we are having FINALLY? I'm so happy the temperatures have dropped enough for me to wear some of the awesome new styles I have purchased for fall. Have you been shopping for your fall wardrobe yet? If not and you're looking for some ideas you have come to the right place. For this weeks top 10 picks I went to a store that everyone knows and that I have recently fallen in love with. So, where did I go this week??

Target

To me Target is a slight step up from Walmart because they sell very similar products and the stores are set up almost the same, but the main difference with the clothing is Target is a little higher quality and therefore more expensive. They do have amazing dressing rooms! Kudos to you Target because I have been in some horrible dressing rooms that make me want to leave and never return. They also have a great fall fashion selection! As soon as I started browsing through the racks I knew I would be leaving with more than one item. All of their clothing for fall is super cute and stylish so it was extremely difficult to choose which ones to buy. But, after an hour or so of searching and trying stuff on, I decided on the following items as this weeks top 10 picks.

The Top 10

1-Button front skirt $19.99

I love these skirts. I have literally seen almost every fashion blogger I follow wearing one of these recently and I think this is the perfect skirt for fall. There are several different colors to choose from so you can pick your favorite. This would be great with leggings and ankle boots.

2-Floral lace up body suit *similar $19.99

I'm not a big fan of these. Don't get me wrong they are super cute but they are also a pain when trying to go to the bathroom. I picked this one because I thought it was extremely cute and the bell sleeves are gorgeous. I actually tried this on with the skirt and it was a super cute combo so there's a great outfit idea for fall :) This particular color and pattern is no longer available online so I linked a pretty pink one instead.

3-Green lace drop waist top $19.99

I love the color green so I snatched this top the second I saw it on the rack. These tops are really in style right now too so this top would be the perfect addition to your fall wardrobe. Pair this with a cute pair of ankle boots and jeans and it's a great outfit for a casual day out with friends.

4-Black floral babydoll top $19.99

This top is one of my favorites! I love the floral pattern and the material is super soft and stretchy so it's form fitting but not too revealing. I think this top would be perfect with a pair of skinny jeans and either ankle boots or lace up flats. This is definitely a must have fall item!

5-Red printed peasant top $22.99

I thought this top was so cute on the hanger but I wasn't too happy with the way it looked on me. I think I have too small of a frame to pull this one off but I still think it's super cute and I love the pattern. This would look cute with some flare leg jeans and wedge booties.

6-Red cold shoulder top $22.99

This knitted cold shoulder top screams fall and is super cute. Be aware that this top is see through so you'll definitely need an undershirt with this one. I love the color and the material is perfect for fall weather. This would look great paired with skinny jeans and ankle boots.

7-Paisley print dress $27.99

This dress is AMAZING!! Not only is it the perfect length for a shortie like me but the material is also soft and very stretchy. This dress fit me like a glove and isn't too heavy for a slightly warmer day. I think this beauty would look great paired with some clogs or heels and maybe even some wedges. Perfect dress for fall!!

8-Black floral mock neck dress $24.99

This dress is a great addition to anyone's fall wardrobe. The mock neck makes it warm so it will be great for those chilly nights and it would look great with a pair of leggings and some boots. The fit is very loose like a shift dress so keep that in mind when choosing a size. 

9-Blue and orange print babydoll dress $27.99

This dress reminds me of something you see on an old baby doll in your moms closet. I thought it was too adorable and I know someone will love it and want it in their new fall wardrobe. I didn't like the way it fit me personally because, since I have such a small frame, it looked as if I was a little kid who just raided her moms closet. LOL. I think this beauty will look perfect on someone with a larger frame and of course with a cute pair of wedge boots.

This was the first item I grabbed upon entering the store. I love the color, the fitted waist, and the tassel ties in the front. It was the perfect fit and I know it will look great with a pair of ankle boots and tights. This style looks great on just about everyone so be sure to grab one of these cuties before they sell out.
