Must Have Shoes Of The Week

Hey everyone and happy Monday! It's the first day of the new work week and I don't know about you but I'm super excited to get this week started so I can get to my vacation next week. I'm planning on spending time with a dear friend, my sweetie, and my parents so let's get to it already. LOL Today's post is actually dedicated to my best friends two daughters, Khayman and Rowan. When thinking about what shoes I wanted to feature today I remembered how much Khayman wants a pair of Vans for school. I haven't worn a pair of Vans in years but it gave me a great idea for this post...why not feature Vans?!

Vans
If you want a cute pair of sneakers that will go with practically everything and can be found in a variety of colors and prints then look no further than an awesome pair of Vans. These extremely versatile shoes have been around for as long as I can remember. The skater generation made them super popular and now everyone can be seen sporting a pair of these cuties. It doesn't matter what your style is you can rock a pair of Vans too :) To help you decide what type will suite your style the best, I have come up with three different outfit ideas that include a cute pair of Vans that best represent the unique styles of Khayman, Rowan, and myself. You can shop some amazing Vans styles HERE.

Outfit #1-Khayman
At 12, Khayman is just starting to come out of her shell a little and is trying to find her style. She isn't sure just yet what she likes or how she wants to dress but one thing is clear..she loves band tees and the color black. This is either due to the hormonal changes she's currently going through as a preteen or the fact her mother dresses this exact same way. Whatever the reason, I have chosen a nice pair of black classic vans and paired them with black distressed skinny jeans and a black veil brides band tee. This style would suit her perfectly and if it's something you would like too you can find these items HERE

Outfit #2-Rowan
Little Miss Rowan is such a cute little princess. She's very girly and loves pretty things. She's only 9 and hasn't quite hit that evil puberty age yet. LOL I recently took her to play some arcade games and all she kept saying was how she wanted to win a stuffed donut...yes they are an actual thing. So, when I saw this super cute pair of donut printed Vans they reminded me of her. I paired these cuties with some skinny jeans and a blue graphic tank. I know when I show her these shoes she's going to want a pair for herself :) If this style is something you would love then you can find these items HERE

Outfit #3-Me
I just recently discovered the beautiful bold colors of the high top Vans and I'm hooked. I love wearing colorful sneakers and searching for every color of the rainbow so I can have a huge collection to make sure I match every outfit I own is like a fun scavenger hunt :) My favorite color is pink but for some reason these adorable light purple Vans have caught my attention and I want them really bad. I would wear these cuties with a pair of skinny jeans and an awesome graphic tee like the one I chose for my example. If you would love to recreate this style then click HERE

No matter what your style is there's a pair of Vans out there for you!! Do you already own a pair of Vans? If so, what do they look like? Which of these outfits was your favorite? I'd love to hear from you so leave me a comment and let me know what you think. I hope you have an amazing Monday and happy shopping :)

Printed Cold Shoulder Crochet Trim Top

Happy Sunday!! I hope you're having an amazing weekend. It's been a nasty rainy weekend here in the Houston area so I haven't done too much except church and shopping, but I'm sure this rain will pass soon and we will be back to beautiful sunny weather again ;) I'm about to be heading back to work in a few hours, but this is my last week of work before I begin my 10 day vacation!! I'm so ready to be off and spend some much needed time with my family. Before heading back to work I'd like to share with you an awesome top I found while on a recent shopping trip that I know you'll love. I've already had one friend take my recommendation and purchase this top and she loves it!! So, what is this awesome top and where can you snag one for yourself?

The Top
I first saw this top while shopping at Charlotte Russe a couple of weekends ago and I thought it was extremely cute. I wasn't sure how it was going to look on me because it's so hard to tell when it's on the hanger but I decided to try it on and hope for the best. I fell in love with this top the moment I saw my reflection in the mirror. It looked so beautiful on me and made me feel so dressy and pretty. I knew I had my one year anniversary coming up and I thought this would be the perfect top to wear for the nice dinner he was taking me to. I think the pattern on this top is very unique and I love the mix of blue and dark red colors. The cold shoulder style is what sold me on this top since it's one of my favorite designs for the fall season and the crochet trim v-neck was the icing on the cake. As if all of these extras weren't cute enough just add a tie in the back and you've got a super adorable top that is a must have for anyone's wardrobe. And right now it's on sale online for less than $15 which makes this beauty a super steal :) You can find this amazing top HERE. So, how did I style this super cute top?

My Style
I wanted a super retro vibe to my outfit so I decided to pair this top with my amazing extreme flare leg jeans that I found at Macy's a few months back and these cute cognac heels from Shoe Dazzle that I love so very much. These jeans are so adorable!! They scream retro with the wide leg flare...also knows as bell bottoms...and the frayed hem which is what sold me on this particular pair of jeans in the first place. They are a bit long since I'm on the short side but with tall wedges or heels they work out just fine. These heels are one of my favorite pairs that I own. They too are retro and very comfortable. This is a great color of shoe to wear with a variety of outfits since it will work with many different colors and styles. If you're not a fan of heels you can wear wedges instead and if you're lucky enough to be tall then flats would work just fine with the flare leg jeans. If you're short like me and you don't want to wear heels then you can style this top with a cute pair of skinny jeans and flats or sandals. To recreate my look I've linked a similar pair of jeans HERE, these heels HERE, and a similar pair of heels HERE

Isn't this top adorable? How would you style it differently? Heels, wedges, or flats? Flared or skinny jeans? Which would you choose? I'd love to hear from you so leave me a comment and let me know what you think. I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend and happy shopping :)

Transition Your Summer Clothes Into Your Fall Wardrobe Using These 4 Items You Already Own

Hey everyone and happy Friday! I'm so glad the weekend is finally here. I have so many things to get done today and the first on my list is taking my best friend's daughter shopping for school clothes. I love to shop and it doesn't even matter who I'm shopping for as long as I can help someone to look their best :) Next on the agenda is going through my summer clothing and figuring out what I'd like to keep and what I'm going to retire to someone else's closet. With fall right around the corner I have been thinking about what I want to buy for the new season and what styles I'd like to try but one of my friends made a valid point the other day. She said most people don't buy new clothes as much as I do and if there's a way to continue to wear her summer clothing during the fall she'd love to know about it. What a great idea!!! It got me to thinking and sure enough I realized we all have 4 key items that pretty much stay in our closets all the time anyway that would make transitioning between summer and fall a breeze and would save a ton of money. So what are these items and how can you make this work?

I don't think I've ever met anyone that doesn't own a blue jean jacket. If you are one of the very select few that has yet to jump on this bandwagon I suggest you do so now. This is one of the key items in my wardrobe that goes with practically everything except extremely formal attire. Do you still want to do a little night time stroll with your sweetie in the city but there's a slight chill in the air now? Throw on a blue jean jacket. You will still look super cute but now you'll stay warm ;) For my example I chose a cute floral summer dress and paired it with a blue jean jacket and a pair of cognac lace up pointed toe flats. This is a great way to get some extra wear out of that awesome summer dress that you love before having to pack it away for winter. I've linked some cute blue jean jackets HERE for you.

I love wearing leggings during the fall and winter months. Not only are they really stylish but they are super comfortable as well. Throwing on a pair of leggings under that cute summer dress or tunic top makes the perfect fall outfit. You can get leggings in any color or pattern but I suggest you invest in a couple of good black pairs. I own many pairs of leggings and some of them are super colorful with over the top patterns but they only get worn once or twice. My black leggings get worn all the time and I'm constantly having to get new ones. It's okay to splurge on a good pair of these that fit well because trust me when you find that perfect pair you'll never want to take them off. For my example I chose a cute black and red plaid sundress and paired it with black leggings, a black moto jacket, and a pair of moto boots. This outfit reminds me of the 90s grunge look and I love it so much. This is a great outfit to wear to all those awesome fall rock concerts that are coming up ;) I've linked some great pairs of black leggings HERE.

I just recently started wearing scarves and I'm officially hooked. There are so many different ways to play up an outfit with a scarf including wearing it around your neck or tied in your hair to only name a couple. Also, you can get multiple scarves in different colors and wear it with the same shirt or dress for several outfits in one. Personally I love the bold bright colored scarves because they are so fun and give life to any outfit you wear it with. They also serve a purpose by keeping your neck warm when there's a chill in the air. That summer tank that you love so much but would like to wear it a few more times before putting it away, just add a nice scarf and voila you have an instant fall outfit. For my example I chose a gorgeous orange scarf with tassels and paired it with a black tank, skinny jeans, and orange converse sneakers. I love this outfit so much! It would be perfect for a day of shopping or having a casual lunch with friends. I've linked some beautiful scarves HERE for you to check out.

You can't have a fall wardrobe without owning a pair of tan booties. These cute half boots will quickly become your favorite pair of fall shoes and soon you will be wearing them with everything!!! I love neutral colored shoes because there's not much you can't pair them with and they always add a little something extra to any outfit. I currently don't own a pair of these cuties but I will remedy that sad situation as soon as possible. LOL Throw on a pair of these cute boots with that summer dress instead of sandals to keep your toes warm when the temperatures start to fall. You will still look very feminine but you will no longer have cold feet. HAHA For my example I chose an awesome pair of tan booties and paired them with a beautiful floral sundress and a tan cardigan. This is a great outfit for a lunch date with your sweetie. I've linked some wonderful pairs of booties HERE for you.

What's your favorite fall accessory? How do you transition your summer clothes to your fall wardrobe? Which of these items can you not live without? I'd love to hear from you so leave me a comment and let me know what you think. I hope you have an amazing weekend and happy shopping!!

Tigress' Top 10 Picks Of The Week

Hey everyone and happy Thursday!! I've finally made it to the end of my work week. Just one more night and my weekend will be here. Tomorrow I'm taking my best friends daughter school clothes shopping then Saturday I'm going to take a break from everything and RELAX. I haven't had a day to myself in forever and I'm really looking forward to it. Before I get to all that awesomeness I'd like to share with you my top 10 picks from a great store that I'm sure you've heard of and hopefully you love as much as I do. So where did I shop this week?

Charlotte Russe
I usually go to Charlotte Russe for shoes because they have some of the cutest shoes ever at such great prices, but this time I decided to browse through the clothing and see what I could find worth sharing with you. I was not disappointed in the least bit with the awesome selection here. Not only are the clothes really cute but they are super affordable which is a big plus for me. Also, their sizing is on point which is great because once I'm in the dressing room I almost never go back to the rack to get a different size. It was really difficult for me to choose a favorite this week and I stood in the dressing room staring at several different options for about 20 minutes before making my decision. LOL So what items made the top 10 this week?

My Picks
All of these items are the hottest trending clothes at Charlotte Russe right now and were chosen for the top ten before I tried them on to be fair and unbiased. The winner was chosen based on how the clothes look on me :)

#1 Pink floral dress
I really loved this dress so much and I may go back and get it just to have it on standby in case I need a cute party dress. The fit was amazing. It was really stretchy and super soft. It hugged my body like a glove but not one that's overly tight and uncomfortable. This is the type of dress I could wear for hours at a time and be comfortable in. I ended up not getting it because I knew I had nowhere to wear it.

#2 Black star print romper
This is the best romper I have ever tried on so far. The fit was absolutely perfect and I felt super cute and feminine wearing it. The only downside to this one was the neckline was way too low and showed my bra. I ended up reluctantly putting this beauty back but I may give in and go back for it...it really is that cute on :)

#3 Black and white print dress *Similar item linked
This was one of those dresses that looked better on the hanger. I love the crochet top and the print is super cute but this is definitely for someone with a smaller chest. My girls were quite literally popping out so I quickly put this in the no way section of the dressing room. But for someone slightly smaller I think this dress would be perfect for you.

#4 Ivory floral lace up romper
This romper was so beautiful on the hanger and I was really hopefully when I got to the dressing room but alas it was not meant to be. It fit me alright but the style did not suit my frame well at all so I decided to pass on this one.

#5 Ivory floral off the shoulder top *Similar item linked
Off the shoulder tops are super popular right now and I really wanted this top to work out for me. The fit wasn't too bad but it just didn't scream "buy me" when I looked at it in the dressing room mirror so it went back to the rack. I do hope it finds a home with someone soon though since it's way too cute to be left on the hanger at the store.

#6 Green lace tank
I love mint green. It's such a beautiful color for summer and looks good on just about everyone. This tank grabbed my attention because of the lace detail and of course the lace up front. It was a little short for my liking so I had to put it back but it would look so good on someone else.

#7 Printed lace cold shoulder top
I fell in love with this top the minute I saw it and I was thrilled with the way it looked on me in the dressing room so this one ended up being the winner. It is perfect for the upcoming fall season but can be worn right now for summer as well if you wear it for date night and not out in the heat of the day. LOL This one will be featured in an upcoming post so be sure to come back and check it out ;)

#8 Printed tank
This one was almost the winner but I went with #7 because it can be worn longer since fall is fast approaching. But, if you're looking for an awesome summer tank this ones' for you. I love the pattern, the colors, and the way it fit me. This one is simply a must have for those of you who aren't quite ready to let summer go just yet.

#9 Tan off the shoulder top *Similar item linked
I thought this top was really cute on the hanger and I don't have many clothes in this shade so I decided to give it a try. It has the awesomeness of the off the shoulder look but it just wasn't for me. I didn't really like the way the color went with my skin tone and that's probably why I don't have this shade in my closet already LOL

#10 Black and red elephant tank *Similar item linked
I love elephant print! I featured a cute tank before with this print on it and a pair of pants too which were so adorable. This tank is super cute and I love the colors but the arm holes were too big and showed a large portion of my bra so I put it back on the rack.

Aren't these picks awesome? Which one was your favorite? How would you style your favorite to make an outfit? I'd love to hear from you so leave me a comment and let me know what you think. I hope you enjoy the rest of your Thursday and happy shopping :)

Printed Tassel Dress With Fringe Vest

Happy hump day everyone!! It's Wednesday and that means this week is halfway over already. Who's excited?! I know I sure am. I have some fun stuff planned for this weekend and I'm ready to get to it. Do you have any plans for the weekend yet? If you're thinking of doing some shopping I have the perfect dress for you. Not only is it super adorable but at less than $15 it's a steal :) So where did I find this awesome dress?

The Dress
I actually found this dress totally by accident. I was waiting on my sweetie to get out of the restroom so I decided to browse through the clothing section at Walmart when I saw this beauty. I instantly fell in love with the pattern and the colors of this dress and I knew I had to have it. There was only one left in my size so I hurried to the dressing room to make sure it would fit properly. I'm so glad it was the perfect fit and looked absolutely amazing on :) Tassels and fringe are everything this summer and this dress has both. At first I thought that someone may have hung the vest on the hanger with the dress but it actually comes with the dress and is included in the awesome low price. I linked the dress HERE for you in case you want to snag one for yourself! So how did I end up styling this beauty?

My Style
This dress has a bohemian feel to it and I wanted to stick with that so I decided to wear my awesome black wedges that I got from JustFab a few years back. These shoes compliment the dress very well and made me feel very beautiful and TALL...they are 6 inches high LOL I love wearing wedges because they give you the height that heels do but with more stability. To change it up a bit you could wear a cute pair of sandals or lace up flats instead. Also, if you want to transition this dress into your fall wardrobe then wearing a pair of knee high boots and tights would be a great way to do that. If you'd like to recreate my look I've linked a similar pair of wedges HERE

Isn't this dress super cute? How would you style it differently? Wedges, sandals, flats, or boots? Which would you choose? I'd love to hear from you so leave me a comment and let me know what you think. I hope you have an amazing hump day and happy shopping :)
