Blue Plaid Ruffle Dress

Hey everyone and happy Sunday! How's your weekend going so far? My weekend was pretty awesome! I finally got my nails done (black and orange for Halloween) and I got to spend some quality time with both my parents and my sweetie. Sadly my weekend is over and I'll be heading back to work in a few hours but not before I tell you about this beautiful new dress I found that I know you'l love and that's perfect for fall. So, what is this dress and where can you get one for yourself?

The Dress
I found this dress while shopping at Kohl's last weekend and I fell in love with it the moment I tried it on. I love shopping at Kohl's because I always find the cutest clothes there and because they have an awesome rewards program. This dress is just another example of how cute their clothes are and I'm so happy I found it. I don't own a lot of clothing in blue and I really need to change that because this color is really pretty. I'm also obsessed with plaid so this dress caught my attention the moment I saw it. The super soft material and the beautiful ruffles are what sold me on this dress. I love wearing clothing that is soft and comfortable on the skin so as soon as I put this beauty on I knew it was going home with me. It's on sale right now for less than $30 so be sure to snag yours before they are all gone. So, how did I end up styling this beautiful dress and how can you change it up to fit your style?

My Style
I decided to wear this dress to church so I wanted to dress it up a bit. I had just purchased a new black scarf from an awesome boutique in my town called Pruitt and Taylor and I knew it would look really great with this dress. This beautiful scarf is super soft and really comfy to wear. The only bad thing is the temperature here in Texas is still in the upper 80s so as soon as church and this photo shoot were over the scarf came off. LOL I also kept with the dressy style by choosing a beautiful pair of black heels. These heels are so shiny and pretty. They are also surprisingly comfortable as far as heels go. I got these beauties from Shoe Dazzle a few months back and they have quickly become my favorite pair of black heels that I own. To change it up a bit you can take off the scarf and wear a different pair of shoes. A cute pair of lace up flats would look nice and so would a nice pair of wedges. Sandal wedges would be great if it's still hot where you live. To make the outfit warmer keep the scarf and add a black jacket with some black leggings and a pair of boots or booties.

  6. Great plaid pattern on the dress. I'd probably pair it with black tights and booties.

    1. Thanks joules ❤ I was actually wanting to wear something similar with it when I purchased the dress but the day I wore it was almost 90 degrees outside so I had to change it up a bit.
