My Top 10 Picks Of The Week

Hey everyone and happy Thursday. How's your week going so far? Mine has been pretty awesome. Yesterday I had a blast at the zoo and the two museums I visited with my parents. You can still view pics and videos from those places on my instagram stories. Today we are heading to La Porte, Texas to see the Battleship of Texas and the San Jacinto Monument. I am really excited about the battleship because I'm a little obsessed with history and I've never been there before. It's going to be super fun! As with yesterday, you can view pics and videos on my instagram stories :) Before heading out to all the fun today it's time to show you my top 10 picks from this week's featured store. So where did I go this week?

Abercrombie And Fitch
I haven't shopped at this store since the early 2000s but I walk past it every time I go to the mall so I figured I'd check it out again to see what new stuff they have out. I was not disappointed. They have so much cute stuff and I wanted to buy it all but I had to choose only one thing...well two ;) One thing I love about this store is how well the clothing fits. Nothing I tried on was overly tight and the fit was average compared to other stores I've been to recently where their clothing seemed to be designed for children. HAHA If you've never been here or you haven't been in awhile you should totally give it a shot and see if anything catches your eye. The following items are my top 10 picks from Abercrombie And Fitch but there's so much more to be seen than just these.

My Picks
The way I pick my items is simple. I walk into a store and go from front to back searching every section while grabbing all the items that I think are amazing. Then I narrow it down to only 10 and head to the dressing room to try them on. And here they are...

I haven't kept it a secret that I love skinny jeans since I hardly wear anything else. I've never owned a pair of Abercrombie and Fitch jeans and these were on sale for $39 so I had to get them. Not to mention they looked amazing on! Just the right amount of stretch and super comfortable. I'll be wearing these in upcoming blog posts for sure :)

I love wearing these types of pants to work. Not only are they comfortable but they look super cute on as well. Had I not already decided on getting the jeans these would've been mine but sadly I put them back.

I couldn't get enough of these in the 90s so when I saw they were back in style I had to try one on. I wasn't impressed this time around. Don't get me wrong I still think they are super adorable but my body and style have changed over the years and it didn't look all that flattering on me :( So back to the rack for this one.

#4 Ivory and orange tank *similar item linked
I thought this was so cute on the hanger and it looked decent enough on me, but I wasn't crazy about the elastic band at the bottom and the overall way it looked was just ok. I still think it's really cute just not on me so back to the rack it went.

This beautiful dress was actually on the clearance section which I normally never include in these top 10 posts because they sell out so fast, but this one was too cute not to mention. I had a little trouble getting the zipper on the side to zip all the way up and I didn't feel like searching for a bigger size so I put this cutie back.

One of my favorite styles for the fall is the long sleeve rompers. I will eventually get one and feature it before it gets too cold, but sadly not this one. I loved the way it fit me and the fabric was very nice, but I wanted something else I tried on more so I put this beauty back.

My mom spotted this beauty before I did and begged me to try it on. I love the color red and the lace detail is so pretty, but again I wanted something else more. I may go back for this one though.

I love butterflies so I knew as soon as I saw this beauty I was getting it if it fit me. I tried it on with the jeans and fell in love! You can't see from the picture but the back has a slit on the bottom which shows a little skin. It adds a bit of an edge to an otherwise plain top and I think it's so pretty. I'll be featuring this beauty on an upcoming post :)

#9 Red floral tank *similar item linked
I love this tank because of the ruffles at the bottom. This style is super cute and I may have gotten this one had it not been just a little tight. I wasn't going back for another size and besides I was already in love with the butterfly shirt anyway so this one was put back on the rack.

I love this color green and the butterflies make it that much more beautiful to me, but I didn't like the back of the dress. It showed my bra and I have yet to purchase a specialty bra so I decided not to get this beauty right now. I may go back for it later because I think it truly is amazing but for now it's hanging on the rack at the store.

Aren't these picks adorable? Which one is your favorite? Do you shop at Abercrombie and Fitch a lot? I'd love to hear from you so leave me a comment and let me know what you think. I hope you have an amazing day and happy shopping :)

White Anchor Tank

Happy hump day everyone! Speaking of hump day, I'm actually going to the zoo with my parents today so maybe I'll get to see a camel ;) LOL I hope you're having an awesome week so far. We have reached the halfway point which normally I'm excited about but since I'm on vacation this week I'm not ready for it to be almost over already. Oh well, all that matters is that I've enjoyed my time off and I'm continuing the fun today by traveling to the small city of Lufkin, Texas and checking out the local zoo and a couple of small museums. If you'd like to see pics from my trip just follow me on instagram and check out my instagram stories. Before I head off to enjoy the day with my parents I wanted to stop by and tell you about an awesome tank top I found recently. It's perfect for these last few days of summer and I know you'll love it as much as I do.

The Tank
If you have followed me at all on here or any of my social media pages you will know that I'm always shopping at Walmart for literally everything. The day I spotted this beautiful tank I was there buying groceries and just happened to walk by the clothing section when I saw this amazing tank on the rack. I LOVE anchors so it immediately caught my attention. As I got closer I noticed that the anchor was surrounded by beautiful pink flowers and it was then that I knew this tank was going home with me. I was in a hurry so I didn't try this one on but luckily it fit perfectly. I'm usually not a big fan of white because it gets dirty too easy but the beautiful floral anchor print won me over as well as the price...less than $10!! I love how it fits snugly at the top but then flows out at the bottom to create a very feminine outline. This will also be good for those of us ladies who don't like shirts that fit tight around the hips. I've linked this adorable tank HERE for you. So how did I end up styling this beauty and how can you style it too?

My Style
I wanted to accentuate the pink roses in the tank so I decided to wear my super cute pointed toe pink flats I got from Wish a few months back along with my new skinny jean leggings from Hollister that have quickly become my favorite. I love how perfectly the colors blended together and it's even cool that the jeans were the color of the anchor :) I felt extremely feminine and pretty wearing this outfit and I can't wait to wear it again. If you don't like the flats you could also wear a pretty pair of sandals instead and if you want more of a casual look I think a cute pair of sneakers like Converse would look super cute with this tank as well. To wear this beauty for fall simply throw on a blue jean jacket with a pair of booties or even the flats and you're good to go. I've linked a similar pair of jean leggings HERE and the pink flats HERE

Isn't this tank adorable? How would you style it differently? Flats, Sandals, or sneakers? Which would you choose? I'd love to hear from you so leave me a comment and let me know what you think. I hope you have an amazing hump day and happy shopping :)

Must Have Shoes Of The Week

Hey everyone and happy Monday! The weekend is officially over and now it's time for you to head back to work. I'm off for the week so today I actually have plans to do nothing. LOL It's been so long since I had a day to myself and I'm really excited about it. The rest of the week is going to be filled with fun and family time. Tomorrow is my birthday so my sweetie is taking me to eat at Joe's Crab Shack when he gets home from work then Wednesday and Thursday I'm spending time with my parents. I can't wait!! For now though I'd like to help ease those Monday blues by sharing with you an awesome pair of shoes I've found that are perfect for the upcoming fall season and have been added to my want list as well.

The Shoes
I saw these shoes while browsing for outfit inspirations on my Polyvore app last weekend and I fell in love with them immediately. They are the cutest pair of mary jane heels I've ever seen and the brand is Micheal Kors which is a designer that has been on my wishlist for some time. If you love the retro style then you should snag these beauties as well. This fall there's a huge emphasis on the 70s retro style and these shoes would be the perfect finishing touch for all of your throw back outfits. These shoes come in different colors so you can choose tan, brick, or black. I personally like the tan ones best because they are a neutral color that will go with many different outfits. So, how can you style these awesome shoes and where can you get a pair for yourself?

My Style Picks
I decided to show you examples of how you can style each color of these heels.
All of these outfits have an awesome retro feel to them and would be perfect for the upcoming fall season.

#1 Tan
For my first example I chose the tan heels and paired them with a gorgeous floral bell sleeve dress and a cute tan tassel bag. This is the perfect outfit for a date night with your sweetie. You can shop this entire look HERE.

#2 Brick
For my second example I chose the brick heels and paired them with flared leg jeans and an adorable printed peasant blouse. This is the perfect outfit for a day out shopping with your girlfriends. You can shop this style HERE

#3 Black
For my third example I chose the black heels and paired them with a pretty printed off the shoulder bell sleeve dress and a cute black tassel purse. This is the perfect outfit for a dinner date with friends. You can shop this style HERE

#4 Tan (Again)
For my fourth example I had to feature the tan heels again because I love them so much. This time I paired them with a beautiful green ruffle bell sleeve dress and a tan purse. This is the perfect outfit for visiting family you haven't seen in awhile or for a nice dinner with coworkers. You can shop this style HERE

Aren't these shoes amazing? Which color is your favorite? How would you style them differently? Which outfit could you see yourself wearing? I'd love to hear from you so leave me a comment and let me know what you think. I hope you have an awesome Monday and happy shopping :)

Black And Pink Floral Dress

Happy Sunday!! I hope you're having an amazing weekend. My vacation officially started on Friday and I don't go back to work until Labor Day so it's going to be an awesome upcoming week for me. I'll have lots of time to relax, spend time with family, and of course share some awesome outfits with you :) Today I want to share with you a beautiful dress that I fell in love with the first time I saw it and I'm sure you will as well. So, what's so great about this dress and where can you snag one for yourself?

The Dress
I saw this dress as I was shopping at Express last weekend and I knew I had to try it on. Unfortunately there was only one left in the whole store and it was a size XS. Normally I wear a small but I thought what the heck and tried it on anyway. To my surprise it fit me perfectly and I knew the second I put it on that I was taking this beauty home. I haven't kept it a secret that I LOVE wearing floral print so my attention was on this dress immediately, but the beauty of the floral pattern and how the different shades of pink blend so well together was the ultimate deciding factor for me. I also love the little zipper that goes up the bust. It adds a little spice and edge to an otherwise simple floral dress. The material is super soft and stretchy so not only is it really comfy against my skin but it hugs my body just right...not too tight and not too loose. I'm so glad I found this gorgeous dress and at less than $50 it's a pretty good deal as well. I've linked this dress HERE for you. So how did I style this beauty and what different ways can you style it?

My Style
Wearing this dress makes me feel super feminine and I wanted to stick with that theme so I decided to pair it with my cute pink heels that I got from L'Patricia a few years ago. I love how the pink in the shoes matches some of the pink in the dress and pulls the whole outfit together. If only I had an awesome pink scarf then it would've been AMAZING! You can wear a nice pair of black heels instead or if you don't want to wear heels at all you can opt for a pretty pair of sandals or flats as well. Since fall is coming soon you may be thinking it'll be too cold for this dress soon but if you wear a pair of tights underneath with a pair of booties and a scarf then it will be the perfect outfit for the upcoming fall season. I've linked a similar pair of my heels HERE and a cute pink scarf HERE that I may just go purchase for myself. LOL

Isn't this dress so adorable? How would you style it differently? Heels, flats, or sandals? Which would you choose? I'd love to hear from you so leave me a comment and let me know what you think. I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend and happy shopping :)

My Favorite Prints For Fall

Happy Friday everyone!!! I didn't think this day was ever going to get here but it's officially my vacation. I'll be off for the next 10 days and I'm excited to finally get some much needed relaxation and time with family and friends. Later today I'm going to lunch and the mall with a good friend of mine then tomorrow night I have tickets to The Sound Of Music sing-a-long at the outdoor concert stage in the Woodlands. It's going to be a very fun filled weekend that's for sure. Before I head out to get the fun started I'd like to talk to you about prints. Every season new prints are emerging and sometimes old prints make a comeback. This upcoming fall season is no different. There are so many amazing styles and prints that I'm super excited about and it's impossible to choose just one that I love the most so I've narrowed my choices down to five. The following five prints are my absolute favorites for fall and I can't wait to go shopping and snag items in each and every one of these.

I remember butterfly print was really popular in the 1990s. I had a really cute t-shirt I loved that had a big butterfly on the front and who can forget the awesome 3D butterfly hair clips?? Well if you were a big time butterfly lover in the 90s like me then get ready because this print is making a comeback. Stores everywhere have the cutest butterfly stuff out right now and I couldn't be more excited! I actually purchased a super cute butterfly top the other day and I can't wait to wear it. For my example I chose a beautiful butterfly shift dress and paired it with these awesome tan mary jane heels and a cute tan tassel purse. This would be a great outfit to wear on a date with your sweetie. I've linked these items HERE.

I honestly don't think leopard print has ever gone out of style but some seasons it seems to be more popular than others. This print is going to be really hot for the upcoming fall season. I've already seen an amazing dress, heels, and the cutest blouse all in leopard print that I want to go back and purchase. There are many different colors of leopard print but the neutral tan is really in for the fall season so you should certainly make sure you have at least one item with this awesome shade and print. For my example I chose the cutest button down leopard print mini skirt and paired it with an off the shoulder black top, black mary jane heels, and an adorable black tassel purse. This is also a great date night outfit or something to wear out with your girlfriends. I've linked all these amazing items HERE for you.

Floral print never goes out of style. It doesn't matter what year or season you can always wear your awesome floral printed outfits. There are different types of floral though and for the fall season the large floral prints are the most popular. Floral is one of my favorite prints of all time and if I could I'd wear it every day. I just bought a gorgeous floral dress that will be featured soon and I can't wait for you to see it. For my example I chose a gorgeous long sleeve floral romper and paired it with a cute pair of nude block heels and an adorable tan deer purse. This would be a great outfit for a lunch date with your girlfriends. I've linked all these items HERE.

Plaid has been the ultimate go to print for every fall and winter season in the past and this fall season is no different. One little twist is the introduction of the cold shoulder plaid tops that are really popular and super cute. I think everyone I know has at least one plaid button front shirt in their wardrobe somewhere and if you don't you really should because it's such an amazing casual top for fall and will end up being the most worn shirt you own. I know mine always are! I actually just got the cutest plaid top myself that has a lace panel sewn to the back. It's so adorable and I can't wait to share it with you. For my example I chose a red plaid button front shirt and paired it with skinny jeans, tan booties, and a cute tan bag. This is the perfect outfit for those every day errands you have to run. I've linked all these items HERE for you to check out.

Stripes have been super popular this whole year and striped clothing seems to be going strong right into the fall season as well. I love stripes especially cute tops so I'm really glad they are still in style for this next season. I haven't yet purchased anything with stripes yet for the fall but with all the stores full of this print it's only a matter of time before I find something I can't live without. For my example I chose a black and white striped off the shoulder long sleeve shirt and paired it with black skinny jeans, black lace up flats, and a cute black cat purse. This would be a great outfit for a lunch date with your girlfriends or for just a casual shopping day. I've linked all these super cute items HERE for you.

Have you been checking out all the latest upcoming fashions for fall? What are you most excited about for this fall season? Which of my picks is your favorite? How would you style it differently? I'd love to hear from you so leave me a comment and let me know what you think. I hope you have an amazing weekend and happy shopping :)

My Top 10 Picks Of The Week

Hey everyone and happy Thursday!! Normally this would be my last night of work for the week but I decided I'm taking the night off. Yes I know I'm already off all of next week but sometimes when you feel burned out it's best not to push yourself. After this long relaxing vacation I'll be back at work on Labor Day feeling refreshed and ready to get to it. Who's ready for the weekend?? If you're planning on doing a little shopping this weekend I have found some amazing items at a great store that you should totally check out.

Express

I don't really do a lot of shopping at Express but I'm always passing by the window at the mall admiring items from afar so I decided this past weekend to actually go in and check it out. If I worked in a business setting and I needed nice dressy clothes for work I would shop here all the time because they have some amazing stuff for business women :) Luckily I was able to find some stuff more geared towards someone like me who doesn't need to dress up for work but still wants to look nice. They had a great sale going on when I went on jeans and summer items but it was the new fall clothing that caught my attention. Even though it's still way too hot to dress in full fall gear just yet, I'm getting ready for when the temps finally drop enough for me to do just that. So, what items made the top 10 this week?

My Picks

After much searching and deliberation over many different items I finally decided on the following picks for my top 10 picks of the week...

I LOVE distressed skinny jeans. They are my go to jeans that I wear with almost everything so naturally when I saw they were on sale I had to try a pair on. Unfortunately these were a little big and I didn't want to go search for a smaller size so these went back to the rack.

#2 Pink lace up top *similar item linked

I thought this top was so pretty and the material was very silky which I love but I wasn't thrilled with how my arms looked in this one...time to workout LOL...so I decided not to get it.

This dress is so cute. The print is unique and the cut is perfect. I loved the way it looked on me but in the end I chose another item that I liked just a bit better.

I have so many floral dresses and I certainly didn't need another one but something about this dress called to me so I tried it on. Boy am I glad I did!! The material and cut of this dress are perfect and it looked so good on me that I knew this was the winner as soon as I put it on. I'll be featuring this beauty on a future post :)

I need an animal print top in my life so bad and I almost walked away with this cutie but the dress fit way too good to pass up. HAHA. The material is very silky and would be great for business attire. There are multiple colors in this top so if you aren't a fan of leopard print then I'm sure you can find a print you love.

This was one of the beautiful summer items that Express still has available and I thought it was way too cute not to try on. I love the colors and the material but it was too low on the sides for my liking so it went back to the rack.

My mom actually picked this one out for me to try on and I thought it was super adorable. I love the lace detail and the color is gorgeous but I didn't like the way it looked on me so I put it back for someone else to love :)

#8 Black floral blouse *similar item linked

This blouse reminds me of a top I saw in my moms closet in the 80s. I think it's so pretty and would be great to wear out to dinner or to the office but I didn't like the way it looked on me so I put it back.

I LOVE this sweater and the style is perfect for fall but it's still way too hot here in Texas to be wearing that right now. Cold shoulder everything is really in style this season especially sweaters so I may just come back for this beauty when the weather cools off.

I love this adorable top. It fit perfectly and the style is super in right now. I personally don't like off the shoulder tops that much but I'd wear this one just how it appears on the hanger....on my shoulders. LOL I would've gotten this one but I wanted the dress more.

Do you shop at Express? Which of these picks is your favorite? How would you style it to make an awesome fall outfit? I'd love to hear from you so leave me a comment and let me know what you think. I hope you have an amazing day and happy shopping :)

Navy Blue And Coral Crochet Tank

Happy hump day everyone!!! It's Wednesday and that means this week is halfway over. Technically my hump day is Tuesday so I only have two more days of work for the week then I'll be starting my 10 day vacation. I can't begin to tell you how excited I am. I've had this time off planned since January and it took FOREVER to get here. LOL But my birthday is Tuesday and I always take off around that time so I had no choice but to wait these last eight months. SIGH!! To celebrate this awesome hump day I have the cutest tank top that I want to share with you. Not only is it super cute but it's also reasonably priced so it's a great deal! So what is this amazing tank and where can you get one?

The Tank
I found this tank about a month ago while browsing through the racks of the local Burke's Outlet with my mom. I love shopping there and I always find such great deals that I can't pass up. This tank was no exception. I thought it was so pretty the first time I saw it and I knew I had to have it. I love wearing navy blue because it looks really good with my pale skin and dark hair but the adorable coral crochet detail on the front was the icing on the cake because I love coral especially in the summer. The high/low style has been a favorite of mine for awhile now so this tank was the perfect choice for me. Also, at less than $15 this tank was a steal :) Unfortunately this tank is no longer available online but I'm sure you can find one in the clearance section at your local Burke's Outlet. I've linked a similar one HERE for you without the coral detail. So how did I style this adorable tank?

My Style
This is one of those tanks that you can either dress up or down so I decided to dress it down and go with the casual look. I paired this tank with my awesome distressed skinny jeans from Ross and these super cute sandals from Payless that I've been rocking all summer :) I wore this when I took my best friend's daughter to the arcade/laser tag place and I was extremely comfortable the entire time which was awesome! This is the perfect outfit for hanging out with friends or cruising around town. If you'd like to dress it up a little then you can always wear a cute pair of wedges and a pair of flared leg jeans. You could even wear this tank with a nice skirt as well. If you'd like to recreate my look I've linked some similar jeans HERE and a similar pair of sandals HERE.

Isn't this tank adorable? How would you style it differently? Sandals or wedges? Skinny jeans, flared leg jeans, or a skirt? Which combo would you choose? I'd love to hear from you so leave me a comment and let me know what you think. I hope you have an amazing day and happy shopping :)
