Tigress' Picks Of The Week

Happy Thursday everyone! This is my last day of work for the week and I'm super excited about the coming weekend. Tomorrow I'm going shopping for new styles and trends to share with you so be looking forward to that and as always I'll be sharing some awesome outfit ideas with you as well. Have you been looking for a new place to shop? Are you ready to see what store I've picked for today? This is an awesome store that is super budget friendly and always has the cutest clothes. What store is it?...

What's Trending Right Now At L'Patricia

I love shopping at L'Patricia! Every time I go there I walk away with something. Their inventory is always updated with the hottest new styles and trends and I love browsing through them every chance I get. For those of you looking for a prom dress or a formal dress for a wedding they also have a nice selection of those as well. The shoe section here is awesome. Every single shoe they sell is on display with the boxes lined up underneath it. This is how I love shoe stores to sell shoes. It's quick and easy for me to find what I need and I don't have to ask for a size and wait for the person to return possibly without what I'm wanting. The dressing room is nice with good lighting but it's only a curtain and I personally prefer to have a door that locks. Nothing is worse than having someone walk in on you while you're changing. Be aware when shopping here that the clothes are made a little on the small side so you may need the next size up from what you normally wear. Overall though, this is a great store to score new trends and great clothing at a decent price. If you have a chance this weekend you should totally get to L'Patricia and check it out. Here's just a small sampling of some of the awesomeness that I found here this past week...

First Picture: All under $25
Blue jean skirt
White lace peplum blouse
Pink lace tank
Blue floral blouse
Green floral blouse

Second Picture: All under $30
Plaid mid-length skirt
Black mid-length skirt

Third Picture: All under $35
Pearl and teal Earrings
Tan lace up sandal booties
Camel fringe heeled sandals
Eiffel tower Earrings

I loved all of these choices but I couldn't buy them all. I walked away with the black mid-length skirt and the white lace peplum blouse which will be featured on the blog in a future post. It was really hard not to get the plaid skirt as well because the fit was absolutely perfect for me but I already had shoes at home to go with the outfit I bought so that in the end was the deciding factor. These are all great choices so no matter which you choose you will be getting a great deal. There are also so many other beautiful choices that didn't make it onto this post that I insist that you go check out the store for yourself. I promise you won't regret it.

Did you love the picks that I chose for the week? Had you ever heard of L'Patricia before? I would love to hear your thoughts and opinions so leave me a comment and tell me what you think. Be sure to follow me on Facebook and Instagram for updates on new blog posts. You can also follow this blog by email and add me to your Google circles. Don't forget to check back tomorrow for some awesome outfit ideas. I hope you have an awesome day 😎

Floral Babydoll Top With Super Flare Jeans

Happy hump day everyone! The weekend is halfway here and that makes me super excited. Have you made plans for the weekend yet? I plan on shopping 😉 which isn't unusual in any way. Haha. I also plan to spend some much needed time with my man just relaxing and enjoying his company. Whatever you decide to do for the weekend I hope you look fabulous doing it and to help with that I have the cutest outfit to show you...

Dressy casual is always a good choice for the weekend since you can wear it basically anywhere and look amazing doing it. I wore this outfit this past weekend to run errands with my man. I wanted something comfortable but slightly dressy so I could feel beautiful for him. This outfit was the perfect choice considering the jeans and babydoll top make it casual but the wedges add just a little bit of dressy to the mix to make this outfit what I call dressy casual. I love wearing this style and do so as often as possible. This floral babydoll top is so beautiful. I love the colors in the floral pattern and how they compliment my skin tone very well. I got this top from Walmart last year and it hasn't disappointed because it's the perfect top for spring. While this top may no longer be available I'm sure you can find something similar online or maybe even this exact one on a website like eBay. Babydoll tops are flattering on most body types but just keep in mind that if you are curvy on top then you may run the risk of looking bigger than you actually are or even pregnant. This happened to me several years back before I lost weight. I was wearing a top like this and I was asked at the store when I was due. I've never been pregnant and certainly wasn't at that time so it was a little embarrassing to say the least. If you love this style and don't care what people think then by all means rock that style ma'am. These jeans are amazing! I recently purchased them from Macy's for only $25 which is a steal at that store. Super flare leg jeans, aka bell bottom jeans, are really popular right now and go really well with the peasant tops and babydoll tops that are seen in all the stores for the spring season. The distressed detail on the jeans and the frayed hem on the bottom make these jeans extremely popular for this spring season and are must haves for your wardrobe. The only downside to these jeans is the length is a bit long. I got the short length and it's 31" which to me isn't very short at all so in order for these not to drag the ground I have to wear wedges. So if you want to wear flats or sandals and you're under 5'5" make sure you have them altered or just deal with them getting dirty. To top off the whole outfit I wore a cute pair of light green wedges which gave me just the height I needed to make the jeans work without having them altered. I bought these wedges from Forever 21 a couple of years back and I absolutely love them. The cut out detailing is super cute and I love how they're trimmed in white which is a great color for spring. These are the perfect shoes for a day out running errands or shopping because despite the height of them they are actually quite comfortable. You may still be able to find these on the clearance rack or online at a different store like Amazon or ebay. This is a great outfit for that day spent with your significant other or just for looking beautiful for yourself because at the end of the day all that matters is that you feel beautiful and confident in what you're wearing. To recreate this look:

Shirt: Walmart
Jeans: Macy's
Shoes: Forever 21

Did you like this outfit? How would you have paired things differently? I love feedback so leave me a comment and let me know your thoughts and suggestions. Be sure to follow me on Facebook and Instagram for updates on when my posts are posted. I hope you enjoy the rest of your week and be sure to check back tomorrow for my picks of the week post.

Must Have Shoes Of The Week

Hey everyone! I hope you're having an awesome Monday. How was your weekend? Mine was amazing. I spent time with family and friends and I got a lot of things done that needed to get done. But, as always, all good things must come to an end so the weekend is officially over and it's time to get this new work week started. To kick off this Monday I've found some awesome shoes that I'm sure you'll love and that every person can wear regardless of your style or age.  What are these amazing shoes? Where can you get a pair?

Everyone loves a good pair of flats. Flats go with just about any outfit or style and come in a variety of colors to match all the colors in your wardrobe. There's a type of casual flats called Toms that are some of the best and most comfortable shoes I've ever put my feet into. You can find these shoes at many different retailers but my favorite place to get them is at Journeys because of just how many varieties of styles and patterns that they have. This is the perfect pair of shoes for the spring because they will keep your toes covered during the cold of nighttime but are still light weight so your feet don't get too hot when it's super warm outside during the day. For my first example I chose a white pair of Toms and paired them with skinny jeans, a white tank top, and a black messenger bag. This is the perfect outfit for a day spent walking through the zoo or botanical gardens. For my second example I chose the same pair of white Toms and paired them with a blue jean mini skirt, a white peasant tank with black embroidery on the front, and a black and white racoon bag. This is the perfect outfit for a day out shopping with the girls and the bag gives the whole outfit a youthful teenage look. If you don't already have a pair of these extremely versatile shoes then you should certainly run out and get a pair soon. At Journeys they only run about $50 which isn't too bad for a great pair of shoes. To recreate these looks:

Shoes: Toms
Skinny Jeans: My Theresa
White Tank: Harrods
Black Bag: Novica
Blue Jean Skirt: Style Bop
White Peasant Top: Yoins
Racoon Bag: The Real Life

Do you love these Toms? Do you like how I paired them? I'd love to hear from you so leave me a comment and let me know your opinions and how you'd pair them differently. Be sure to follow me on Facebook and Instagram for updates on blog posts as they happen and don't forget to check back on Wednesday for my next outfit post. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day 😊

Mint Green Dress

Happy Easter everyone! I hope you're having an awesome day whether you're hanging by yourself or spending time with family. I spent today with my boyfriend and our parents and it was a great day 😊 So what did you wear for Easter? Did you dress up or down? Did you get a new Easter dress special for today? If not don't despair because while you may have missed buying a new dress for Easter you can still get a new dress for spring and I have the perfect one for you.

I absolutely love this dress I purchased from Francesca's because of the beautiful mint color and the lace detail at the neckline. While this color makes me look a little more pale than I normally am, it still looks great and the fit is perfect. Mint green is a great color for spring so this was an awesome find for my Easter Sunday dress and it will be great to wear out on date nights with my man for the remainder of the spring season and even going into the summer. This dress is very light weight so it was perfect for today since it was sunny and very warm outside. The best thing about this dress is the fact that it will work on most body types so ladies you should certainly go get one of these beauties as soon as possible. Also it's only $45 which isn't bad for a really beautiful dress and if you're lucky Francesca's will be running an awesome sale like they were when I went. I decided on this dress because I knew I had the perfect pair of mint green heels at home. My shoes are AMAZING! I got them from Shoe Dazzle a couple of years ago and I haven't regretted it in the least bit. They are super high yet surprisingly comfortable and I always feel sexy and confident when I wear them which is always how a woman should feel in a great pair of heels. If heels aren't for you then you can always wear a cute pair of sandals or wedges instead. I felt like a princess today in this outfit and I got a lot of compliments so I feel it was a great buy. If you would like to recreate this look:

Dress: Francesca's
Shoes: Shoe Dazzle

Do you absolutely love this dress or what?! How would you wear it differently? I'd love to hear your thoughts and opinions so leave me a comment and let me know what you think. To get up to date information about when new posts are up follow me on Facebook and Instagram. I hope you enjoy the rest of your Easter Sunday and be sure to check back tomorrow for my shoes of the week post.

5 Amazing Dresses For Easter

Happy Friday everyone! Are you super excited for the weekend? My weekend officially started yesterday and I have been having a blast. I got my nails and hair done for Easter Sunday and I'm having a get together at my house later tonight so it's been a great day! Speaking of Easter...are you ready for it? Do you have your outfit all picked out and ready to go? If not then you're in luck because today's post is all about the best dresses to wear for Easter. So, if you need ideas on what to wear just keep reading. I love Easter! As a little girl I would always get a beautiful new dress just for that special day and then I would get to hunt Easter eggs with my cousins and eat barbeque. I think the last one is just a southern thing, but those were great memories that I will cherish forever. As I grew older the tradition of picking out a new dress kept going and even though I no longer get super dressed up like I used to, I still always get a new dress. Whether you do the whole Easter thing or not, it's springtime and it's always a good time to buy a new beautiful spring dress. So what dresses are perfect for this Easter? There are honestly so many awesome styles to choose from but I have chosen 5 that I think are the absolute best!

#1: The Bodycon Dress
It's never the wrong season for a bodycon dress. I think I have one for literally every occasion I can think of. I love wearing these types of dresses. They always hug my curves super well and make me feel gorgeous. The one downside to this type of dress is that it doesn't work with all body types. While it works well with girls with hourglass figures, it doesn't work for more curvy girls or girls who are super thin. If you can pull one of these amazing dresses off though, be sure to do so as often as possible. For my example I chose a strappy floral bodycon dress and paired it with pink heels and a pink purse. I chose this particular dress because it's floral and has the perfect pastel spring colors in it. This is the perfect outfit for that Easter date with your significant other. To recreate this look:

Dress: Jane Norman
Shoes: Cici Hot
Purse: Tradesy

#2: The Shirt Dress
Who doesn't love a simple springtime shirt dress? This style works with most body types and comes in a variety of colors and prints so whatever your style is you can find one that will work for you. The only downside to these dresses is for small busted women. The top sometimes tends to hang awkwardly as to accentuate the fact that there isn't much there so my advice to those of you with this body type is to either have the dress altered to fit you better or wear a padded bra. I chose the padded bra option myself :) For my example I chose a blue jean polka dot shirt dress and paired it with white heels and a white purse. This is the perfect Easter outfit for those of you who will be spending Easter at a dinner party with friends. I chose this particular dress because blue jean dresses are always in style and I love polka dots. To recreate this look:

Dress: House of Fraser
Shoes: Lipsy
Purse: Brooks Brothers

#3: The Fit and Flare Dress
The fit and flare dress is probably the dress that is flattering on all body types. Whether you are thin or curvy this dress will look amazing on you. This style of dress is simply amazing and screams femininity. It reminds me of the princess dresses I always wanted growing up. This is by far my absolute favorite style of dress to wear for any and every occasion. For my example I chose this gorgeous black fit and flare dress with a purple floral pattern and paired it with purple heels and a purple purse. This is the perfect dress for church on Easter Sunday morning. I chose this dress because of the beautiful purple floral pattern on it. Purple is one of my favorite colors and looks amazing on just about any skin tone. To recreate this look:

Dress: Chic Nova
Shoes: The Real Life
Purse: Barneys

#4: The Camisole Dress
The camisole dress is the perfect dress for the girl who just wants to have a relaxing day out hanging with friends on Easter but still wants to look a little dressy. This dress mostly works with super thin girls seeing as it can enhance certain features in other body types that might make the wearer feel self confident. With that being said, you should always feel bold and confident no matter what you are wearing so if you like this style and you want to wear it then by all means rock that look! For my example I chose a black floral camisole dress and paired it with black sandals and a black fringe purse. This is the perfect outfit for an Easter lunch date with your girlfriends or that little family get together. I chose this dress because of the floral pattern which is perfect for spring and Easter in particular. To recreate this look:

Dress: Glamorous
Shoes: Go Jane
Purse: Yoins

#5: The Skater Dress
The skater dress is another one of those styles that look good on just about every body type. There are so many of these to choose from and again I feel confident in saying that I have one of these for every season. Spring and Summer in particular are the best seasons to wear this style of dress in my opinion and everyone of you should run out and buy one of these awesome dresses if you don't have one already. Well, even if you do have one it's okay to have more than one right ladies? For my example I chose a green lace skater dress and paired it with nude heels and a nude purse. I chose this dress because of the lace. Lace is so beautiful for the springtime and Easter in particular. This is another dress that is perfect for church on Easter Sunday. I personally am in love with this dress so I may just buy it myself ;) To recreate this look:

Dress: Rent The Runway
Shoes: Burlington Coat Factory
Purse: Forever 21

Don't these beautiful dresses make you ready for Easter? I know I sure am. I personally bought a mint green lace dress so I'll feature that on the blog this Sunday. I hope you love these dresses as much as I do and hopefully I helped you make that difficult decision of what dress you're going to wear for Easter. As always I love feedback so leave me a comment and let me know which of these dresses is your favorite and what you plan to wear for Easter. Also follow me on Facebook and Instagram for the latest updates on my blog posts and to see pictures of outfits that don't make it on to the blog. I hope everyone has an awesome weekend and a great Easter Sunday.

Tigress" Picks Of The Week

Hello again everyone! Are you excited for this coming weekend? It's Easter weekend and for many of you this means time spent with family. For a fashionista this also means it's time to pick out that Easter dress 😃 Have you decided where to go shopping to find the best Easter dress? If not I have found an amazing store for you that has the prettiest dresses and accessories.

What's Trending Right Now At Francesca's

I've only recently discovered Francesca's and I have to say I'm really impressed. Although it's a very small store, there is a lot of great stuff inside. I have passed this store many times on my way to other stores that I already know and love and every time I do I always admire how beautiful their dresses are. I'm a dress lover so I may be a bit biased but they do have other clothing and accessories if dresses aren't your thing. The one downside to this store is the dressing rooms. The lighting in the dressing rooms is horrible which is why I wasn't able to get the greatest pictures of their awesome stuff. Be sure to check them out online to better see their clothing options and to be able to see just how beautiful the clothing really is. Their clothes cost a little more money than I'm used to spending but if you catch them during a sale then it's totally worth it. When I was there all their clothing and accessories were buy one get one half off. While I didn't take advantage of the sale this time since I only bought one thing, I certainly will next time. These pictures are just a small example of the amazing things Francesca's has to offer.

First Picture:
These dresses are all about $45 and I loved each and every one when I tried them on. However I ended up only buying the mint green one because it was the best fit.
Second Picture:
All these shirts looked amazing on the hanger and were less than $30 so I was thinking I could get one of these for the half price discount. However most of them looked terrible on me with the exception of the coral tank so I decided not to get any. I'm sure they will look amazing on some of you though.
Third Picture:
These are just a small sampling of the shoes and purses that you can find here. All of these items were less than $40 which isn't too bad for a good pair of shoes or a nice purse.

Regretfully I didn't get any pictures of the gorgeous jewelry that they sale so you will have to make a trip up there or go online to find out just how amazing that stuff really is. So, have you decided to give Francesca's a try? I sure hope so! I hope the rest of your week goes by smoothly and your weekend is super awesome. As always I love feedback so leave me a comment or suggestion about a future topic you'd like me to write about. Be sure to follow me on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter for all the latest updates on my blog posts and check back tomorrow to find out the best dresses for Easter Sunday.

White blouse and green wedges

Hey everyone! Happy hump day. How's the week been going for you? Mine has been great! I have a 4 day weekend coming up and that has me in a super great mood. I do have to address something before we get to the cute outfit I picked for today...I love comments and feedback and constructive criticism is always welcome but horrible nasty comments meant to tear a person down are not acceptable and will be deleted as soon as they are seen. If any of you see such comments before I get to them could you just leave a nice comment to counteract the hateful one. I'd really appreciate it thank you 😄 Now back to what really matters....the clothes! The outfit I picked out for today I've actually had for about two years or so, but it's so cute and the style is so hot for spring that I couldn't help but share it with you. So where did I find this cute outfit and where can you find something similar?

I love peasant blouses. They are super retro but at the same time modern and I think they look good on just about every body type.  They are flowy and carefree which makes them the perfect shirt for springtime. This particular blouse I found at Kohl's a couple of years back and I have to say it's been worth every penny I've spent on it...which at Kohl's wasn't too much. I love the green detailing near the neckline and the way it hangs freely over my figure which allows me to move with ease. I don't normally wear white but this color is more of a dingy white so it compliments my skin tone well. Hopefully I get to enjoy this beauty for many more years to come. While they may not have this particular one anymore, I have seen many similar ones just recently in all different colors. Kohls always has an awesome variey of these types of blouses and I'm sure you can find one you're happy with the next time you take a shopping trip there. The jeans I found at Burke's Outlet about a year ago and they have quickly become one of my favorite pairs that I own. The brand is Roxy and I must say their jeans have a great fit and feel amazing on. I'm always comfortable when I wear these and the best thing is these are 29" length which for me is perfect. You should be able to find a pair of these wherever Roxy jeans are sold. My wedges are my absolute favorite thing about this whole outfit! I've said it before and I'll say it again... I love wedges in the springtime! I found these beauties about two years ago on Harwin Street in Houston. I want to say the name of the store was Total Fashion but if not that then it's something very similar. All the shoes at this store and everything on Harwin is super affordable and totally awesome. I can't wait until my next trip down there so I can find more awesome deals to bring back to my closet. The color of these wedges compliments the little details on the blouse perfectly and so does the style. Nothing goes better with peasant blouses then amazing wedges. This is the perfect casual outfit for a lunch date with your girlfriends and it's just dressy enough to maybe wear out on that hot date you have coming up 😉 To recreate this look or find something similar:

Blouse: Kohl's
Jeans: Burke's Outlet (Roxy)
Shoes: Total Fashion

Are you ready to head to the store and get yourself a peasant blouse and wedges now? I own plenty of these and I myself am ready to get more! Maybe that's just the shopaholic coming out but this is a seriously hot style for this spring and I feel everyone should be rocking it. Did you like this outfit? How would you wear it differently? As always I love feedback so leave me a comment with your thoughts and opinions. Be sure to follow me on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter for more awesome pictures and to know when the next upcoming post is going to be. I hope you enjoy the rest of your week and don't forget to check back tomorrow to see what's trending at the next awesome store.

Must Have Shoes Of The Week

Hey everyone! It's Monday so let's kick off this week right by talking about an awesome pair of shoes I found. I've been asked how I decide which shoes become the shoes of the week and I'll tell you honestly it's really simple. I keep my eyes open when I'm out and about to see what everyone is wearing and what's popular in all the stores I shop at. But, ultimately it comes down to which pair of shoes I think are the best looking and the ones that grab my attention. This week's shoes of the week are a slight twist on the popular lace up flats that are all the rage right now....

These gorgeous pointed toe Mary Jane flats are amazing! They are extremely versatile and can be worn with many different styles so this is a really smart buy because you will definitely get your money's worth. I love the little bow detail on the shoe as well as the t-strap. I will certainly be getting a pair of these soon. So I bet you're wondering where you can score a pair of these amazing shoes! I found them online at a website called Accessorize and they aren't too expensive either. Whether you are wanting a cute pair of flats for casual wear with jeans or for more dressy occasions to be worn with a dress or skirt, these shoes are perfect for you. For my first example I paired the flats with a cute pair of skinny jeans and a black blouse. This is the perfect outfit to run some errands in or for lunch with your girlfriends. For my second example I paired the flats with the cutest pink tutu, a black blouse, and a black cat purse. This is more of a teen or young adult outfit but I personally would totally wear it. It will definitely bring out your inner child :) This is the perfect date night outfit so if you have a date coming up with your sweetheart soon then surprise them by wearing this. It will certainly bring some spice to the evening. You can also wear these shoes with a dress, cropped skinny jeans, and maybe even shorts if they are the right style. Be sure to grab your pair of these adorable flats before they are all gone. To recreate this look:

Shoes: Accessorize
Jeans: Nordstrom
Black Blouse 1: Harrods
Skirt: Far Fetch
Black Blouse 2: The Corner
Purse: Loungefly

Some of the items I find online are a little pricey but you can always find similar items more budget friendly at other online stores or in a physical store when you're out shopping with friends. Do you love these flats? How would you wear them? Leave me a comment and let me know what you think or send me an email directly at www.fashionabletigress@gmail.com You have a great rest of the week and don't forget to check back on Wednesday for my next outfit post.

Elephant Printed Pants

Hello everyone! How's your weekend going? I hope it's amazing like mine. We did have a small cold front come through here in Texas which dropped the temperature slightly and brought a lot of wind with it but overall the weather hasn't been too bad. I was able to wear my new spring outfit that I've been dying to wear so I was super happy about that. Did you get a chance to check out my picks of the week post on Thursday? If so then you should recognize the pants I'm wearing. Do you remember where I got them?...

I love my new pants from Kohls! I don't usually wear stuff like this but when I saw them on the hanger I figured I'd try something outside my comfort  zone. As soon as I put them on I knew I was buying them. The material is really soft and the waist isn't too binding. There's nothing I hate more than a pair of stretchy pants where the waistline digs into my stomach. They say beauty is pain and sometimes this may hold true but not for everyday casual wear. I love the cute elephant pattern on the pants as well and the bell bottom legs was the ultimate selling point. Also, they come in different colors if you don't like the black and cream ones that I'm wearing and they are on sale for only $25. The black shirt I got from Kohls as well but it was about a year ago. It doesn't really matter though because just about any black or cream colored shirt will work with these pants. I love my wedges. I got these from Just Fab a couple of years back but I'm sure they still have similar ones if not the same ones on clearance. Wedges are the perfect shoes to wear with bell bottom pants so I was extremely happy with the way this outfit turned out. Instead of wedges you could wear a cute pair of sandals if you're taller than me. Had I worn sandals these pants would have dragged on the ground. This is the perfect outfit for a casual day out shopping or just spending time with your friends. To recreate this look:

Pants: Kohl's
Shirt: Kohl's
Shoes: Just Fab

Aren't these just about the cutest pants you've ever seen?! You should get to the nearest Kohl's or visit their website and get a pair as soon as possible so you too can enjoy their  awesomeness! Did you like how I put this outfit together? How would you have done it differently? I'd love some feedback so leave me a comment with your opinions and suggestions and be sure to check back tomorrow for the shoes of the week post.

The 5 Best Colors For Spring

Hey everyone! It's Friday and the beginning of my weekend. How has your week been? If it's been anything like mine I'm sure you're glad the weekend is finally here. Guess what else is super awesome? Next week is officially the beginning of spring!! Yes it has pretty much been an early spring this year since it started getting warm in the middle of February, but now it's really here. So, now that spring is here what colors do you plan to wear? Do you know what colors are hot right now? If not then I'm about to tell you. While there are many colors trending for this spring season I have chosen 5 that I think are absolutely amazing and must be a part of your spring wardrobe.

#1: Blush Pink
What girly girl doesn't love pink? The color pink perfectly embodies the essence of spring and is a must have for every girl's wardrobe. There are many different shades of pink so the trick is finding the shade that works with your skin's undertones. The great thing about blush pink is that it's pretty universal and goes with just about every skin tone. I don't recall ever seeing anyone who doesn't look good in this shade, but I'm sure there are a few exceptions. Any shade of pink works for spring, but there's just something about blush pink that screams SPRING. For my example I chose a beautiful off-the-shoulder dress in blush pink and paired it with nude strappy heels and a nude purse. This is the perfect outfit for a date night with your significant other or for us southern women we can add a huge hat and wear this to a tea party...that was for you Missy :) To recreate this look:

 Dress: Matches Fashion
Shoes: New Look
Purse: The Real Real

#2: Coral
I've said it before and I'll say it again...coral is one of my absolute favorite colors for spring! It's a bright, vibrant, and happy color that reminds me of a flower. Many people will argue with me on this, but there are actually several different shades of coral. I've seen some that are more of an orange and then there are those that look more like peach. This is good news because that means there's a shade for all skin tones. I personally look better in the peachier tones, but you may look good in the brighter shades of coral. Whichever shade looks best on you one thing is for certain, coral is a hot shade for spring and you should own at least one item in this color. For my example I chose a cute coral fringe tank and paired it with white shorts, coral flip flops, and a straw tote. This is the perfect outfit for your next vacation where you walk through the downtown shops of the small beach town you are visiting. Wow just thinking of that makes me ready for my vacation which isn't until August :( To recreate this look:

Tank: Wear All
Shorts: Question-Air
Flip Flops: Nordstrom Rack
Purse: Macys

#3: Green
You're probably asking yourself why green. It's simple...green is the color of grass and during the spring the grass is very luscious and vibrant. Also, St. Patrick's Day is in March and really close to the springtime so I felt compelled to add it to the list. There are so many shades of green, but I feel emerald is the perfect shade for spring. I always thought this shade would look horrible against my pale skin until I tried a shirt on the other day in this color. It was amazing! So, apparently emerald looks good on people with cool undertones to their skin. For all you warm toned people out there, pastel green is a great substitute and looks wonderful on you. For my cool toned sisters, get yourself either a shirt or a dress in emerald STAT. For my example I chose a gorgeous asymmetrical blouse in emerald green and paired it with black skinny jeans, emerald green heels, and a black purse. This is the perfect outfit for a girl's night out. To recreate this look:

Blouse: Direct Asda
Jeans: My Theresa
Shoes: My Theresa
Purse: Far Fetch

#4: Yellow
Just like all the other colors I've talked about, yellow has many different shades so make sure you pick the one that works best with your skin tone. As a cold toned person I look better in the bold yellow as opposed to the pastel yellow, but no matter which shade looks best on you yellow is a must have color for spring. Yellow represents the sun and in the spring the days get longer and the sun shines brighter so it's in our sub-conscious that yellow is a great color for the springtime. If you absolutely hate wearing yellow close to your face you can always wear bright yellow shorts or a skirt with a different color top. I personally love the way yellow looks with black even though it kind of makes me look like a bumble bee when I wear it. If that look isn't for you, purple also goes really well with yellow...yes I said purple. For my example I chose a yellow form-fitting skirt and paired it with a black blouse, black T-strap pumps, and a black purse. I love this outfit because the yellow pops and I love pairing bold colors with black. This is the perfect outfit for the office or church. To recreate this look:

Skirt: Runway Catalog
Blouse: Le3no
Shoes: Nordstrom Rack
Purse: Shop Under

#5: Electric Blue
I absolutely love this shade of blue! While most people would say that pastel blue is more of a spring shade than electric blue, this blue really pops when photographed against a spring backdrop. I agree that pastel blue is a great shade and looks wonderful on people with warm undertones, but I've tried light blue and it looks horrible on me. My skin really shines in electric blue and anyone else with cool undertones so I've chosen this shade as a great color to add to your spring collection. Another great thing about this shade is that it will transition easily into other seasons as well so you can basically wear this all year long. Even if this shade looks horrible on you, you can always get a purse in electric blue so you will have at least something in this awesome versatile color. For my example I chose a gorgeous electric blue lace blouse and paired it with black skinny jeans and electric blue ballet flats. This is the perfect outfit for a lunch date or a day of shopping with your significant other. To recreate this look:

Blouse: Yoox
Jeans: Very Exclusive
Shoes: 6pm

There are so many other colors that are great for spring, but these are the 5 that I feel are the best choices. As always don't just wear a color because it's popular. make sure the shade looks great with your skin tone so you always look your very best. I hope you enjoy your weekend and be sure to check back Sunday to see the next featured outfit. Okay ladies it's time to go shopping and score those great deals! Tigress' Picks Of The Week

Hello again everyone! How's your week going? There's only two more days until the weekend and freedom so hang in there. For me this is my last day of work for the week. I'm so ready to get to the weekend and have some time to just relax but before we get to the weekend I have to tell you about the awesome deals I found while out shopping. So where did I go this time?...

What's Trending Right Now At Kohl's

Kohls is an amazing place to go shopping. Not only are the clothes super cute but they are always having sales and a huge clearance section. When going into a store to do some shopping the clearance section is always the first place I head to. You never know when you can find the deal of a lifetime. I'm not saying you should always shop there because you want to keep your clothes up to date, but there's always that one awesome deal that is impossible to pass up. With Kohl's, most of their non-clearance items are still on sale so be sure to use one of the many price scanner machines they have to see just how much you're saving. And if you like something that happens to not be on sale, just wait a week and it will be 20-40% off. Also, Kohl's has an awesome rewards program where you earn points by shopping. Those points turn into a $5 reward after about 200. They also have their famous Kohl's cash which you receive by spending $50 or more. So, after all your discounts and points you can get really nice stuff super cheap. The pictures I posted are just a sampling of the amazing selections that Kohl's has and nothing is over $50.

All of these items are really cute and affordable but after trying everything on I decided to only buy the printed pants, cropped skinny jeans, and high waisted shorts. *The last two items I purchased are not pictured.* As always anything I purchase will be featured in a future blog post.

Which item is your favorite? How would you make that item into an outfit? Leave me a comment and let me know what you think. I love getting feedback from you 😊 If you want to get updates on future blog posts then follow me by email and sign up for a Google account then add me to your circles. Teal Romper

Happy Wednesday everyone! I hope you're enjoying your week. The weekend is fast approaching and I have so much planned. How about you? Big plans for the weekend ahead? If you're planning to do some shopping I found an awesome deal for you at one of my favorite stores....

Forever 21 always has amazing sales! They have their brand new stuff which is really affordable and they usually have a huge clearance section for those of us bargain shoppers! I was lucky enough to find this amazing teal long sleeve romper on the clearance rack for only 7 bucks. How awesome is that?! I love wearing this color because it looks great with my pale skin and rompers are the perfect spring attire especially this long sleeve one seeing as there may still be a slight chill in the air. It's already pretty warm and extremely windy here in Texas but if it's still chilly where you live you can always wear a pair of tights underneath to ward off some of the chill. I chose to wear teal high heels because the material of the romper is very light and it has a dressy feel to it. I got these heels a few years back from Shoe Dazzle and I absolutely love them. They are really cute and surprisingly comfortable if you don't plan on doing too much walking in them. If heels aren't your thing you can always wear a cute pair of sandals and it will give the outfit a more casual feel. I'm seriously obsessed with owls so I was really excited when I realized my owl necklace was going to pair perfectly with this outfit. I've had it for about a year and I found it at Charming Charlie. This is the perfect outfit for a date with your significant other or heading out for a night on the town with the girls. To recreate this look:

Romper: Forever 21
Shoes: Shoe Dazzle
Necklace: Charming Charlie

Do you love this adorable romper or what? I'd love to hear your thoughts and opinions so leave me a comment and let me know what you think and how you'd pair it differently. I hope you enjoy the rest of your week and be sure to check back  tomorrow to see what's trending at the next awesome clothing store 😄

Must Have Shoes Of The Week

Hey everyone! Did you have an awesome weekend? I know I sure did but alas it's Monday and time to head back to work for many of you. On a positive note there's only 5 days until the weekend and it's time to reveal my picks of the week. This week I decided to look no further than my polyvore app for inspiration and I found the most adorable shoes that are perfect for spring....

These coral strappy heeled sandals from Go Jane are the perfect color for your spring wardrobe. Coral is great for all year wear but there's just something about coral in the springtime that makes any outfit amazing. The fact that the shoes are sandals is also a big plus. Warmer weather calls for open toed shoes so with these your feet can soak up some of that warmth and still  look stunningly dressy. These shoes aren't casual so don't wear them with shorts and tee shirts. Yes I have seen people wearing that outfit combo and it looks horrible in my opinion. I've created two examples of how you could pair these shoes but always remember to stay true to yourself and wear only the things that make you feel awesome! For my first example I paired the coral shoes with a beautiful floral dress, a coral purse, and coral flower earrings. This is the perfect outfit for a nice dinner or for Easter Sunday. For my second example I paired the coral shoes with white skinny jeans, a gorgeous coral blouse, a multi colored striped purse, and a pair of tiered coral dangling earrings. This is the perfect outfit for a night on the town with your girlfriends. To recreate either of these outfits:

Shoes: Go Jane
Dress: Pilotuk
Coral Purse: Nordstrom
Flower Earrings: Bling Jewelry
Jeans: Style Bop
Shirt: Farfetch
Striped Purse: Self Ridges
Dangling Earrings: JcPenney

Do you absolutely love these coral beauties? As always I love feedback so leave me a comment or email me directly at fashionabletigress@gmail.com and let me know what you think and how you would pair them differently. Multi Print Lace Tank

Hey everyone! Are you having an awesome weekend? I found a little time for some relaxation this weekend but now it's time for me to head back to work and start the countdown to the next weekend all over again. Did you get a chance to check out my picks of the week on Thursday? If so I'm sure you recognize this cute tank from Target. Was it one of your favorites? I know I sure love it! Here's how I decided to wear it...

This tank was one of the first items I grabbed on my quest for new clothes at Target last week. I love the mixed patterns in the shirt and the tiny bit of lace detail at the top gives it that little extra something. I know I've said before not to mix patterns and that still holds true, but if the mixed patterns are all in one single article of clothing then it's okay. However, you shouldn't wear another article of patterned clothing with it. Plain colors with no patterns work best with shirts like this. With that being said, I wanted to make this tank into an outfit that was comfortable and casual so I paired it with cropped skinny jeans and comfy pink and tan sandals. The jeans I found at Kohl's last weekend as well and they are an awesome fit but super stretchy so they hug curves really tightly. The sandals I got from Charlotte Russe a few years back and they were a great buy seeing as I wear them all the time! I felt super cute while out shopping with my mom and I even turned a few heads which always seems to make any woman's day. You know what I mean ladies! If you want to dress up the tank more you can always wear a cute pair of wedges or you could even do the ballet flats with a cardigan combo. No matter how you decide to wear it be sure to always be confidant and rock that outfit! To recreate this look:

Tank: Target
Jeans: Kohl's
Shoes: Charlotte Russe

Did you like how I made this tank into an outfit? How would you have worn it differently? As always I love feedback so leave me a comment or email me directly at fashionabletigress@gmail.com
