Hello again everyone! It's Friday which means it's the end of the work week for most of you. Are you ready for the weekend? I know I sure am! Let's kick off this weekend right and talk about fashion. If you've been following my Friday posts I'm sure you've noticed that I've been talking a lot about spring fashion. Well this week is no different. I've covered the best overall items and the best jeans so now I'm going to talk about the hottest shirts for spring. I know you're loving this spring weather we've been having so let's get you ready to rock your new spring style. So what are the best new shirts for spring? I've picked 5 that I think are absolutely amazing and must haves for everyone's fashion closet.
#1: The Chambray Shirt
To be completely honest I had never really heard of this style until recently and I had the pleasure of trying one on this past weekend. I'm now in love with this style! It looks like a blue jean shirt but the material is super soft and feels so comfortable against my skin. The only reason I didn't buy the one I tried on was because of the shape and how my arms looked in it....time for some arm work at the gym....but now I'm on the hunt for one of these awesome shirts with longer sleeves. For my example I chose a cute chambray shirt with 3/4 sleeves and paired it with white skinny jeans and tan fringe booties. This is the perfect outfit for a day of running errands or just hanging with your girlfriends. To recreate this style:
Shirt: House of Fraser
Jeans: House of Fraser
Shoes: Shein
#2: The Lace Shirt
Who doesn't love lace for spring? When I think of spring I think of lace, floral dresses, and pastels. Shirts with lace are everywhere right now so you shouldn't have any difficulty finding one. And the whole shirt doesn't have to be lace. You can get a shirt with just a hint of lace detail or a lace hem but whatever you do please get yourself a lace shirt. For my example I chose a pretty grey shirt with lace detail at the top and paired it with distressed skinny jeans and grey ballet flats. This is the perfect outfit for a day of shopping or a lunch date with friends. To dress it up even more you can wear a cute pair of grey heels for a night out on the town. To recreate this look:
Shirt: Newlook
Jeans: Lane Crawford
Shoes: Fit flop
#3: The floral Blouse
Floral patterns and spring go hand in hand. You can't walk through any store right now and not see floral everywhere you look. I personally love floral so I'm totally okay with this, but if you aren't really a girly girl you can always get a plain pattern with one small floral detail on it. But, I encourage you to give full floral a try. There's just something about wearing flowers that makes a girl feel super pretty and feminine. For my example I chose the cutest off-the-shoulder floral blouse and paired it with super flared jeans and nude wedges. This is the perfect outfit for those of us who love the retro look and the ultimate feminine outfit. This would be a great outfit for date night. Also, off the shoulder shirts are popular right now too so this shirt is a double win for you! To recreate this look:
Shirt: May kool
Jeans: Montaigne Market
Shoes: Last call
#4: The Bell Sleeve Blouse
70s retro is really in style right now and there's nothing that says retro quite like a bell sleeve shirt. I'm pretty sure I've seen pictures of my mom in these from back in the day and I wish she would've kept them, but it's okay because they're back now and can be found just about anywhere. I've seen some at Walmart, Target, and Forever 21 just to name a few of the places that carry these awesome shirts. As an added bonus this style looks good on everyone so go ahead and grab one of these and rock it girl! For my example I chose an ivory and black bell sleeve blouse in lace and paired it with black flared pants and lace up pointed toed heels. This is the perfect outfit for a dressy event like a play or a nice dinner. You can also wear flats if you don't like wearing heels. To recreate this look:
Shirt: Yoox
Pants: Karen Millen
Shoes: Yoins
#5: The Fringe Shirt
Fringe is so hot right now! Everything right now has fringe from shirts to shoes so this is a must have style for anyone wanting to keep up with the latest fashion trends. I personally am not big on this style, but I'm always willing to try new things so who knows I might end up with a pair of fringe boots before long. The trick to wearing this style is to not overdo it. I'd keep the fringe to a minimum of two items at a time when trying to style an outfit. A fringe shirt with fringe shoes is cute but don't add a fringe skirt with it because that would be too much. For my example I chose a cute black fringe tank and paired it with a pair of cuffed shorts and black fringe sandals. This is the perfect outfit for a warm spring day in the park or strolling through town on a warm day doing some shopping. To recreate this look:
Shirt: Abercrombie
Shorts: Boutique1
Shoes: Zappos
There are many other styles that are great for spring but these are the ones that I feel are must haves for everyone's wardrobe. Did you like any of the styles from this post?
