Happy hump day everyone 😃 It's hard to believe this week is already halfway over but I guess it only feels that way because I had a 3 day weekend. I'm certainly not complaining though. I'm ready to relax this coming weekend and maybe do a little shopping. 💳 Speaking of shopping, I found the cutest colorful striped skirt on a recent shopping trip and I want to share it with you. If you're planning on heading out to the store this weekend or even doing a little online shopping this is a great choice for you.
My regular readers should know by now that I love shopping at Walmart. I'm always there shopping for everything else you can think of so why not hit up the clothing department while I'm there. They have so many great clothes and sometimes something will catch my eye and I know I have to have it. You know that feeling ladies...the one where you see an item and you start envisioning what you're going to wear it with and how it's gonna look on you. Maybe I'm the only one who does this? Well this skirt was one of those items. I've always been attracted to colorful patterns so for me this skirt was truly eye-catching 👀 The ruffled hem and the cute belt only added to this skirts awesomeness along with the fact it was less than $15! With all the colors in this skirt you will have numerous pairing options for styling this beauty. So how did I style it?
To me this skirt screams femininity and spring so I wanted to dress it up and wear something super girly and perfect for the springtime. I decided to pair it with black because black is so easy to match. There are so many times that I've tried to pair other colors and the shade is slightly off. It's probably not noticeable to anyone else but with my OCD it drives me nuts 😲 But there is only one shade of black so your colors will always be a perfect match. I found this cute cropped shirt at Kohl's about a year ago and I wear it with so many different things that I feel it's going to wear out soon. The wedges I got from JustFab a couple of summers ago and they have been perfect for my spring and summer girly outfits 😗 If you want to wear a brighter color for spring you can always pick one of the colors in the skirt and wear a matching blouse and shoes. You can also wear a cute pair of sandals for a more casual look or make it more dressy by wearing a pair of heels. To recreate my look:
Isn't this skirt awesome? How would you style it? Would you go with black or would you attempt to match one of the many colors? Sandals, wedges, or heels? I'd love to hear from you so leave me a comment with your thoughts and opinions. I hope you enjoy the rest of your hump day and happy shopping 💲💳
