Nautical Shirt And White Shorts

Happy hump day everyone 😆 This week is officially halfway over and the weekend is fast approaching so I hope you're getting those weekend plans in order. I plan to do a little shopping and maybe have a night out with friends but that's not a for sure thing just yet. Did you see the sneak peek of today's post on Instagram and Facebook yesterday? If not be sure to follow me on both to get updates and outfit pics not featured on here. Whether you saw the pic or not, I have an awesome outfit to share with you! Do you love the nautical look? Do you want something comfortable and casual? If you said yes to both questions look so further than this adorable outfit 😍

The first time I saw this shirt at Ross I fell in love with it. I didn't even try it on! I knew it was going to fit me and I knew I had to have it. Also it was only $5 so that to me is a super steal. I love anchors and the nautical look because it screams preppy casual and it's a style I've always been attracted to. This shirt is great because the material is stretchy but not overly so meaning it doesn't hug your body snugly rather it gently hangs over your curves. The white anchors are the perfect contrast to the dark navy blue of the shirt and it gives the whole top a patriotic feel. The only thing missing to complete that theme was something red...maybe I'll do that for Independence day 😉 I paired the shirt with some cute white shorts I found at Burke's Outlet last weekend. I love these  shorts because they aren't too tight and they hit at just the right length for my height. I'm 5'3" and I can't wear shorts that are too long but at the same time I don't want to show off my behind so these shorts are the perfect solution. I brought the whole outfit together with a pair of white sandals that I got from Sears a few years ago. I know these sandals are probably not available at Sears anymore but I've seen this style in many different stores including Walmart. This is the perfect casual outfit for a day of shopping or running errands. I wore it to hang out with my boyfriend and his family and I felt extremely comfortable and really pretty 😊 To recreate this look:

Shirt: Ross $5
Shorts: Burke's Outlet $15
Shoes: Sears $30

Isn't this the cutest nautical outfit ever?! OK maybe I'm over exaggerating but it is pretty awesome. You should snag yourself one of these shirts soon before they are all gone and for that price they may just sell out pretty quick! So what do you think of this outfit? How would you wear it differently? I'd love to hear your thoughts and opinions so leave me a comment and tell me what you think. I hope you enjoy the rest of your week and be sure to check back tomorrow for my picks of the week post.

Goodbye for now...Fashionable Tigress ❤
