The 5 Best Jeans For Spring

Spring is here! Well technically it’s still a few weeks away, but to me spring always starts in March. This is probably because I live in Texas and it never stays cold for very long here. But, even though it’s not officially spring yet, all the spring styles are out in the stores and ready for you to buy them. Did you check out my post from last Friday? This week I’m delving deeper into what’s hot for spring by discussing jeans. I don’t know a single person who doesn’t wear jeans, with a few exceptions for religious purposes, so knowing what jeans are trending for the season is very important. Have you seen the latest styles yet? There are some that I love and some that I’m not so thrilled about so I’ve decided to tell you about 5 that I think are pretty awesome.

#1: The Super Flare Leg Jeans
These jeans were featured last week in my 5 must have items for spring post. I’m including them in this post too because they are simply the cutest jeans to have for spring. They aren’t really new to the scene though. Flare leg jeans have been out for some time and have been up and down in popularity. What is new for spring is the super flare leg jeans better known as bell bottom jeans. These jeans are very 70s retro and go perfect with those floral spring blouses and wedges. My only problem with these jeans, like I’ve said many times before, is the fact that most stores only sell one length which leaves me with the hassle of having them hemmed. For those of you blessed with long legs these are the perfect jeans for you. For my example I chose a cute pair of super flare leg jeans in a medium blue wash and paired them with a beautiful red floral button-down blouse and red wedges. This is the perfect outfit for hanging out with your girlfriends or a casual date with your significant other. To recreate this look:
Jeans: Houseoffraser.com
Blouse: Amazon.com
Shoes: Overstock.com

#2: The Cropped Skinny Jeans
There are no other jeans that say spring quite like the cropped skinny jeans. These are the perfect jeans for slightly warmer weather since it’s not quite warm enough to wear shorts just yet but you’re able to show just enough leg to stay cool. You can pair these jeans with anything from tanks with sneakers to blouses with heels. The flare leg version of these is really trending right now but I’m not a big fan of that style so personally I’m sticking with what I think is more flattering on all body types. For my example I chose a distressed cuffed pair of cropped skinny jeans and paired them with a cute red and white tank with red converse style sneakers. This is the perfect outfit for running errands around town or an activity date like bowling. To recreate this look:
Jeans: Riverisland.com
Tank: Le3no.com
Shoes: Macys.com

#3: The White Jeans
White jeans are a must have for spring. They go perfectly with all the cute spring colors that are out right now and they look very polished and clean. Be careful where you decide to wear these though because white jeans get dirty very easy and even after washing can start to look dingy after a while. Wear these jeans with that cute patterned top that you’ve been dying to wear and match your shoes to the top. For my example I chose a pair of white skinny jeans and paired them with the cutest black and white striped peplum top and black pointed toe strappy pumps. This is the perfect date night outfit! To recreate this look:
Jeans: Net-a-porter.com
Shirt: Wearall.com
Shoes: Stylebop.com

#4: The Frayed Hem Jeans
I love everything distressed or destroyed when it comes to denim. It’s perfect for those casual nights out or just staying at home and relaxing for the day. Even dressing it up now includes a cute pair of distressed jeans. I was really excited when I saw these in the store for the first time. Frayed hem jeans are super cute and will look great with those strappy tanks and sandals for spring. I think these may even look cute with a nice blouse and heels for a dressier occasion. For my example I chose a pair of frayed hem denim jeans in a light blue wash and paired them with a strappy green ruffle blouse and green sandals. This is the perfect outfit for a day of shopping or strolling through the park. To recreate this look:
Jeans: Toryburch.com
Shirt: Modaoperandi.com
Shoes: Yoox.com

#5: The Mom Jeans
The mom jeans remind me of the 80s and 90s. I think everyone had a pair of these back in the day. I hated them and was so glad when this style went out of fashion. However, this style has been reinvented for spring. Levis actually has their own version of these that they are calling the wedgie jean. I love the concept and the pictures I have seen online on the models are really cute, but I have yet to try a pair on for myself. This style might not be for everyone, but if you want to give it a try then make sure you wear it correctly. I have seen some outfits with this style of jean and I just want to scream WHY. A tucked in shirt or crop top go great with this style along with boots and sneakers. For my example I chose a pair of high-waisted mom jeans in medium blue and paired them with a tan cropped long sleeve shirt and a cute pair of tan sneakers. This is the perfect outfit for running errands or relaxing around the house. To recreate this look:
Jeans: Manrepeller.com
Shirt: Farfetch.com
Shoes: Gilt.com

Are you ready to go shopping now? I know I sure am. I think I’ll go try out those mom jeans this weekend and see what the hype is all about.
