Black Skirt And White Blouse

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you're having an awesome weekend. I had a super busy day yesterday then I came home and slept about 10 hours straight. I don't usually like to sleep that long but sometimes your body needs it especially if you're like me and you don't get much sleep on average anyway. And now it's time to get this work week started (I work Sunday - Thursday) but before I head back to work I'd like to share with you the cutest business casual outfit I found. I personally don't work in an office setting so I wear these types of outfits to church but for those of you who have an office type job this outfit will be a great addition to your wardrobe.

Did you get a chance to check out my picks of the week post from Thursday? If so then you may recognize the outfit I'm wearing. Both the skirt and the blouse were purchased from my shopping trip to L'Patricia and I couldn't be more happy with my choices. I specifically went there looking for something to go with my new shoes from Payless that I purchased not too long ago. I knew I wanted a business type outfit or a pinup style from the 1940s but I didn't find anything I liked in the later style so I decided to go with the first one. I saw the skirt first and decided it was perfect before even trying it on. Luckily I took a bigger size in the dressing room than I normally wear and it fit great. I had several different shirts to choose from but after trying them all on I went with this white lace peplum blouse. I love peplum! It looks great on just about anyone and always goes perfectly with form fitting skirts like this one. This shirt too was a little snug so I had to go up a size. So my advice for shopping at this store is to always go up one size with just about everything here. These shoes from Payless are so comfortable and cute. I walked around in them all day and my feet didn't hurt one bit. This is why I absolutely love the DexFlex line from Payless. This is the perfect outfit for a day at the office because the skirt is very conservative in the length but still form fitting enough not to be boring and the shirt has just enough of a sleeve to be decently adorable 😉 If you're like me and you don't work in an office setting you can always wear this to church or for that dinner date to the black tie only restaurant. To recreate this look:

Blouse: L'Patricia
Skirt: L'Patricia
Shoes: Payless

Do you love this outfit? Where would you wear this? How would you pair it differently? I'd love to hear your thoughts and opinions so leave me a comment with any suggestions or outfit ideas you have. Also, if you want to get updates on blog posts when they happen and see extra pictures that I don't post to the blog you can follow me on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend and be sure to check back tomorrow to see what shoes are must haves for the week.

Goodbye for now...Fashionable Tigress ❤
